Yeah fonts can be difficult some times, it is all up to the persons taste.

3 layers actually, lol I used the brush tool to fill in the main backdrop, then got that 3D render for the middle one, then made the droplets for the top.

Agree, it just takes a bit of practice, and some time to develop your style.
