By saying he hasn't shown it/thus can't do it yet is like saying

We haven't seen Madara eat food, therefore he can't and must not be a normal human.
We haven't seen Tsunade poop, so she can't really be a human
Naruto has never said the word peacock, therefore he is unable to say it.
