Reason why Kisame, Sakumo and others weren't revived.

Kisame was a very relevant character. He was Itachi's partner, one of the last Akatsuki members, Guy's arch-enemy, and one of the two Akatsuki members to make an appearance in part 1, etc. So, Kishi wouldn't make only one chapter for him. He would absolutely have to make 3-5 chapters for it to make sense, which would inconvenience the story.

Which is still preferable to four months of Sasuke/Itachi VS Kabuto. That fight was awful...

LOL so true. Well, it wasn't that awful, just awfully slow.
Though, it was bearable for an Itachi fanboy like me.

Maybe Kishi didn't want to look bad forcibly reviving people who had committed suicide. Must take a lot of balls to off yourself, only to wake up and find out someone really did want you alive for whatever reason that may be.

Zetsu could only imitate chakra...when did he have DNA?! And Kisame died without leaving a trace, guess that makes it hard to imagine Deidara being alive...then again Kabuto WAS Sasori's spy! I think he probably didn't for the sake of shortening confrontations...Sakumo could be brought back because Kakashi was brought back when he was with his dad. Could be that he just got confident he had enough bodies...
