Trust me, if anything would come near the Uchiha in power, it wont be the Hyugas, Uchiha's excel in everything, Hyugas, just in Taijutsu. To take down Itachi you would need like 3 Nejis and one long range fighter.
Put it like this. How many legendary/ splendid fighters have the Hyuuga's produced? Compare them to Itachi, Sasuke, Obito, Shisui and Izuna( I'll spare you because back in Madara's time alot of the clan members had MS as noted by Itachi since the clan came up with Izanami to counter Izanagi which can only be used by MS) Now compare byakugan's techniques to the Uchiha's techniques: Tsukuyomi, Susanoo( Incomplete, Complete, Perfect & Stabilized) Amaterasu, Izanami, Izanagi, Katon release and Raiton(Sasuke). As far as I know the Hyuuga's only use Taijutstu while the Uchiha's excel in Taijutsu, Genjutsu and Ninjutsu and possibly Kenjutsu(Sasuke). Face it the Uchiha's outclass the Hyuuga's in essentially everything, barring taijutsu except against some members i.e Itachi, Madara, Tobi and Sasuke and most likely Izuna since he was Madara's brotherly rival. And don't give me some crap about the Hyuuga's being able to see chakra lines because when Sasuke fought Deidara he proved that 3 tomoe sharingan can see the chakra lines down to the molecular level as well.

Because no one can challenge the Uchiha! Except Hashirama, and you know what I am willing to bet he was secretly a descendant from the Uchiha clan also.
That's because Kakashi disn;t know of the MS or the EMS at the time. Plus he doesn't know of the true power of the Sharingan like Kurama does. And your page proved that you can't comprehend. He said in terms of insight not in terms of overall strength or usefulness so get that straight before you try to use manga pages.

If we compare 3 tomoe Uchiha with Hyuga, it becomes a lot even and more interesting. Uchiha are generally good at everything from ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu. They are elites in all three shinobi arts because the sharingan helps master more ninjutsu since you can copy it easily. Sharingan precog allows Uchiha to dominate in taijutsu clashes and sharingan genjutsu is pretty OP when you think about it.
The Hyuga are mainly taijutsu oriented but a taijutsu specialist can dominate an all rounder if they go up close since the all rounder won't be able to win in such a scenario. Sharingan precog would help the Uchiha in a taijutsu clash against the Hyuga but their ultimate defence, the rotation, would make it very difficult to hit a Hyuga. Ninjutsu may be deadly although Mifune was able to go toe to toe with Hanzo despite Mifune not having ninjutsu of his own. This further proves my point that just because someone is very versatile it doesn't mean they will win against someone with no versatility. If the Hyuga can stop the Uchiha from making hand seals, I guess they could win but since MS and beyond requires none, the Hyuga get owned badly.
Anyway 3 tomoe sharingan genjutsu is pretty OP and during the time the Hyuga are in it, they can be killed by an Uchiha. Also Itachi, Madara and even Sasuke have shown far more skill than any Hyuga without even having to resort to MS. Although the Hyuga masters such as Hiashi, Neji and Hizashi could probably hold their own against these elite Uchiha, they will end up losing IMO. Lack of feats make it hard to say how much of an advantage the Uchiha have over the Hyuga although if the Hyuga force the Uchiha to play their own game, the Uchiha will probably lose.

lol. people dont realize that the hyuuga clan are also elite as well. While they may not be the best in genjutsu, their ninjutsu and taijutsu are very high as well. they just arent as known as well as the uchiha because they are not the center of the storyline.
BTW sharingan cant see the chakra network. period. this isnt even debatable. sasuke only saw a large cloud of chakra and avoided it. byakugan> sharingan in terms of insight.
