What role will Orochimaru play in the war?

I think if things get to far out of hand then he will try to stop it. Remember if Madara succeeds then it is the end for Oro and anything he might have planned as well.

Also I might be still waiting for some measure of kindness in him but I think if Tsunade dies that could spur him into the war.

I could see him doing something to benefit the good side but not without some sort of selfish gain. Orochimaru is one of the few villains in the story who is truly twisted. Even when he was with Konoha the dude was sick. But I did hope that he would come in and sort of avenge Tsunade and Jiraiya, that would be badass.

I think he already has some sort of counter measure ready for Madara, then Madara will be out of the way and Oro is free to be the number one badass villain and get his ass handed to him on a plate by naruto.
