This is current gaara vs lee and shikamaru.
Location is preliminary stadium

gaara can only use his gourd sand,shika has his chakra blades,lee can go 5 gates but starts with weights on.

gaara has no intel on them,but they have full intel on him

can 2 top class members of the k11 win under these restrictions?,who wins?

gaaras sand isn't like auto protective so if his speed matched with lee 5th gate no weights (which it is not) then he could just wait for shikamaru to capture him with shadow paralyses jutsu and then gaara gets a kick to the face

actually his sand is autoprotective,and did you forget that gaara already took a 5 gated assault from lee in the preliminaries?,and shika could barely hold gaara back then

I think Gaara would win. He's at a far higher level than these guys. And his absolute defense is more impressive than it was back then. He could just stay in a ball of sand in the air and then just machine gun sand bullets at them

Gaara wins this, currently Lee no longer stands a chance against him anymore, unfortunately Lee's abilities are not the type that would best benefit from Shikamaru's stratigizing abilities, he has no way of protecting Shikamaru from the sand and Lee won't be able to even protect HIMSELF for that long, especially if he tries to go on the offensive again.

So Gaara mid-diff.
