Ok this is my first time analyzing a character's strengths and weaknesses so please bear with me on the 1st attempt. And to top it off it's an attempt to be as unbiased as possible towards one of my favorite characters of all time.
Character in question is: Darui of the Hidden Could Village
Character-wise, he doesn't seem to be the strongest of characters; often lazing around with the desire to take things slow, but episodes and chapter based around him and including him as side character has show us what he can do. I will go over his individual skillset ranging from Kenjutsu, Jutsu lists, intelligence in the form of battle tactics and any miscellaneous skills and facts.
This is Darui's main form of combat, and despite having a sword of greater size than his other Cloud ninja counterparts the point should remain He remains fast and agile. He is skillful in his swordplay taking on opponents such as Suigetsu Hozuki (who I remind you trained with his older brother Mangetsu, master of all 7 blades). Now I'm not sure if this is the lack of skill in Suigetsu's part, but still Cee would have more or less been struck down by Suigetsu if it wasn't for Darui getting fast (which is where his agility comes into play) as well as defeat Suigetsu by pinning him to a wall.
Which brings me to what I consider to be Darui's version of Nintaijutsu, or rather Ninkenjutsu: Lightning Imbuing. Darui is able to infuse his lightning chakra into his blade and use it to his tactical advantage and keep it imbued, holding Suigetsu in place. This, however, seems to be elementary knowledge to Cloud ninjas (and Sasuke) alike.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Darui has shown capabilities of using his sword as an oversized shuriken, so to speak, by throwing it at Kinkaku as a distraction which I will cover in the Intelligence section. Despite his main Cleaver Sword being absent, Darui has been show to be able adeptness using Shichiseiken as a replacement blade, cutting down several Zetsu Clones whilst defending Benihisago.
Overall, he excels at Kenjutsu even without his main weapon. However take away any swords and he won't be able to do much in CQC as far as the Manga and Anime have demonstrated due to the fact all his Ninjutsu so far revolved around Long to Mid-Range Combat.
Water Style and Lightning Style Darui has show skill to use both releases in conjunction unleashing Water Style: Water Wall and while spewing water from his mouth is able to add Lightning Style: Wave of Inspiration making for a deadly combo. However when used on Sasuke, who had an affinity to Lightning type Jutsus, it did not have the effect as one would think it would have. Had it been used on a non-Lightning user, I'm pretty sure that it would have killed or seriously injure his opponent. It is because of these two styles he is able to fuse them into a Kekkei Genkai of his own.
Gale Style: Laser Circus: This Kekkei Genkai is known as Gale Style (or Storm Release for you manga fans). We have only seen one jutsu from this style, being Laser Circus, but despite being the only known Jutsu in Darui's KKG pool, he is shown to be able to use it in numerous situations. Darui can use Laser Circus in conjunction with other moves to barrage an enemy with combined efforts (as seen on 5 Kage Summit) and as in "hostage" situations. The latter I referring to the fact that it is guided, and it seems Darui can guide each individual beam in all directions.
Black Lightning: Darui is not without a trump card, having studied the ways of generating Black Lightning which is a more devastating and different colored version of regular Lightning. As with his KKG, we have only seen one Jutsu from Black Lightning (or one jutsu and one sub-jutsu for anime watchers), the jutsu being Lightning Style: Black Panther and Lightning Style: Double Black Panther. Like any lightning-based move, it has shown to have an increase in killing power when used in watery terrain (which is why he was put in charge of the division that guarded the beaches). In the anime Darui has been shown to use this in conjunction with a Shadow Clone to tame Kinkaku when the latter was in his 9 tails chakra cloak, obviously forming "Double" Black Panther which seemed to have an effect on the Edo Tensei.
To Sum Up: It appears that while swordsmanship is his main form of combat, he has shown a mastery of Long -Mid range Jutsus.
Not much can be said on this topic, but as far as we have see; Darui is actually quite intelligent as Kinkaku and Ginkaku praises him for. He has shown his intelligence when he was able to find out what the 4 treasured tools under Kin and Gin's control by carefully observing the errors Atsui and Samui have made. When it came to tactics of battle, Darui excels there as well, slicing Ginkaku into Kinkaku who was commanding Kokinjo as well as taking control of Shichiseiken and Benihisago, where he threw his sword at the Kinkaku followed with a downward Laser Circus distracting Kinkaku, thus being able to curse and seal Ginkaku.
I can't really go indepth in his battle with Kinkaku because he had combined his efforts with Ino-Shika-Cho and the 2nd Division.
Darui seems to have a large chakra pool, as shown where it took him 4 or so moves that use a lot of chakra as well as using the Treasured Tools of the Sage of Six Paths without being on the verge of death (I'm looking at you TenTen)
Darui gets extremely lucky sometimes (accidentally switching "Drab" with "Sorry" stopping his sealing)
