Love this series and rightfully so. it's the best selling manga of all time and the art is just legendary-tier.

So what are some cool/interesting things you like about it?

One thing I found kind of cool was that Sanji was originally going to be named Naruto. Out of respect though for Naruto being published in Weekly Shounen the creator decided to change his name.

The manga doubled the sales of Dragon Ball which is the current number 2 best seller ever.

Another is that Luffy's Japanese voice is the same as Koenma in Yu Yu Hakusho.

Anything cool or interesting you would like to share?

You watching the right anime? I think you've mistaken One Piece for Naruto.

Filler arc exists, though not that many (animation of OP uses slower pace plus the manga has more detailing per issue. This combo lessened fillers to an extent.)

I think the problem here was One piece arc were kind of scattered and someone who was not following it continuously may get an impression that they are not directly connected and thus could be mistaken for fillers. The one day war arc brought different characters together and now the plot is somewhat more clear .

I know filler arcs exist in One Piece. The reason I commented was because he said there were "too many" fillers. I'm surprised he could tell the difference between the canon arcs and filler arcs from just watching the anime alone.

Also, I never found OP arcs scattered at all and I'm pretty sure most people don't too. Like you said, someone would get confused if they didn't follow it continuously, which applies to everything. There would always be something you would be unclear about if you didn't read/watch everything in order. For example, I don't see why someone would watch episode 1, then 17, then 23, 46 and then episode 9. Might as well not start the series in the first place.

And then there are those people that start OP from the middle at episode 250? What the hell?
