he never said that , he just used the in-complete Susano'o so that he can use Yasaka Magatama against Nagato's Chibaku Tensei as it is a far more suitable for the situation than the Totsuka no Tsurugi + the in-complete Susano'o is far more versatile than the complete Susano'o .

last time I checked he used the Complete Susano'o at the end to seal Nagato .


you should know that any Susano'o user changes the Susano'o form according to the situation he is in , this is shown throughout the manga .

I guess it was my mistake or I did read some wrong translation in the past . What i found now - "the genjutsu returned me to normal, although it looks like the ms has fade away" etc...
