neji stomps. he can reflect away the puppet traps/senbon and poison gas with rotation. he can destroy the puppets with air vaccum palm. he can cut the chakra threads with gentle fist. the saving grace of a puppet master is being able to hide and fight from a distance. he has no such luck against byakugan. neji will find him and air palm him.
this does not mean kankuros weak. far from it. he has impressive traps, poison and sasoris original body. he has a great defence via mechanical light shield.

I don't really know who to give the victory to but since you are a Neji fan and decided to give him the victory with difficulty, it shows you aren't biased unlike some other fans on this site. I find it quite silly that some people say Kankuro loses to Neji low difficulty. If I were mean I would neg rep for the stupidity but I won't.

In part 1 I'd give the victory to Neji high difficulty but in part 2, Kankuro is a beast and Neji hasn't yet to show something totally spectacular that sets him apart from part 1. For this reason, I give the victory to Kankuro mid-high difficulty.

According to the data book, Kankuro has more stamina than Neji and this makes sense since Kankuro uses puppets which aren't very chakra taxing unlike Neji whose move set is a lot more chakra taxing. To put things simply, Neji will eventually have to stop rotating to conserve chakra. Also bare in mind that while Neji is rotating, he is a stationary target and can be poisoned by gas easily since his defense won't prevent air from coming in or else he would lack oxygen.

Also if Neji cuts Kankuro's puppet strings, he can simply reattach them, so no big deal there. Kankuro's puppets are too durable to be destroyed by gentlefist especially his Sasori puppet and Chiyo's mother and father puppet. Also Neji can't simply destroy the chakra points in Kankuro's puppets since they have none. Lastly Kankuro's intelligence is on par with Sasuke's while Neji's is on par with Naruto.

Neji is strong but with lack of feats and a bad matchup, he can not win this fight. Kankuro mid-high difficulty.

Neji's rotation is the only thing that requires a lot of chakra to use. His gentle fist and 8 trigrams attacks all use very little chakra and he bases his fights around his use of taijutsu. His byakugan gives him an advantage to where he could see if he is being poisoned and could take precautionary measures to avoid begin poisoned as well as see all of kankuro's traps.

If Neji were to cut the chakra strings, its very likely that they wouldn't be reattached simply because he could use his byakugan to see when Kankuro tries to reconnect them and sever them before they reach their target, leaving Kankuro even more vulnerable.

Their intelligence is rather equal according to the databooks, the difference in their intelligence stats being only .5, and would likely not play a part in this battle since Nejis byakugan will be able see through all of Kankuro's traps. Not to mention Neji also has vacuum palm to attack from a distance, which will also help since his opponent is the mid-long range type.

This is a bad match-up for Kankuro due to Neji's Byakugan and his ability to destroy chakra, though this doesn't mean that Kankuro isn strong. If he were up against any other opponent, he would have much better chances, though he would still give Neji a good run for his money.

If it were part 1 Neji easily, but Kishi has really buffed Kankuro especially since The attack on the sand, Kishi has buffed Kankuro because the sand had no other decent Jonin he's the 2nd strongest and probably next in line to be Kage if Gaara were to die now, Kankuro would take it with Very High difficulty.
Are you implying that Temari is weak for a jounin?
gaara and temari would kill neji no diff:rolleyes:.
No, Neji would push Gaara to low difficulty at least thanks to heavenly rotation repelling Gaara's sand. Eventually he'll be overwhelmed by a sand tsunami but he'd put up at least a small fight. As for Temari killing Neji with no difficulty, sure I'd wish that were true but let's face it, Neji can push Temari to high difficulty although I do see her winning. BTW, who do you think wins in this match up?

I doubt he can protect himself with rotation against poison gas or else Neji won't be able to breathe and would suffocate. Remember poison gas is essentially contaminated air.

I agree, in which case it would be an interesting fight although avoiding the traps doesn't mean he can definitely beat Kankuro.

Sure but reattaching chakra strings takes a lot less chakra than continually using vacuum palms to destroy them. Neji would have to bypass Kankuro's puppets somehow and beat Kankuro via ambush from the back.

I don't care about intelligence in VS matches that much but I think Kankuro's is underrated. I don't want to underrate Neji's either even if I have in the past like you'd most likely believe but whatever.

Your point about vacuum point is all right but it has no destructive feats capable of destroying metal puppets. Sure it would damage and disable the weaker ones for sure although Sasori's puppet is one tough nut to crack.
This is a bad match-up for Kankuro due to Neji's Byakugan and his ability to destroy chakra, though this doesn't mean that Kankuro isn strong. If he were up against any other opponent, he would have much better chances, though he would still give Neji a good run for his money.
Sure Neji can destroy chakra but puppets aren't made out of chakra, only the strings are which can easily be reattached. I say this is a bad match up for Neji is because while gentle fist is truly a remarkable art, it doesn't have much fire power which IMO is necessary to beat puppet users. There is a reason why Sakura was highly valued in her fight against Sasori despite being a mere chunin in a kage level battle. I'm sure if Neji or Hinata were with Chiyo, they would have lost against Sasori pretty badly.

Hmm, I guess we have two different opinions. I'll +rep you since all the other fools said that Neji wins with no-low difficulty but despite being a Neji fan, you realized that Kankuro would be a tough opponent.
