why people think sasuke is stronger than itachi

Sasuke growth over the time skip was a shock and aww for everyone. Fighting on a level we hadnt seen him fight on especially his fight with itachi. Although itachi was sick and going blind nonetheless sasuke showed his prowess.
-He obtained orochimaru power
-Full control of cursed seal mark
-Also took the sharingan to another level able to fight on par with the ms.
-His intellectual prowess and him being a great tactition pushed itachi to his limits.
-Also lets not forget him negating tsukuyomi.
-Now having the ems.

Compared to sasuke before the time skip not able to land a finger on itachi till now is why ppl pay homage to sasuke and also like i said his ms and ems outclass itachi.

Itachi is still my fav character but he is gone and his brother is the one to take up the mantle and become even more stronger than him.

The simple fact is Sasuke has the EMS, which as a tool in itself is superior to the MS tool/doujutsu. Now it's really a matter of how one uses either of those. If master of the MS goes against some inexperienced with the EMS, it's not simply a discussion about who has superior tools. You have to take into account how they use they're respective tools, which a lot of people don't do . For example

While it's true we haven't seen everything from EMS Sasuke, we go by the things we've currently seen and Overall sasuke has two advantages over itachi and that's that he doesn't suffer from drawbacks of using these powerful techniques and that he has a wider ninjutsu arsenal, other than that itachi excels in practically every other category, sasukes arrogant behavior means that he makes brass decisions while he fights, and If he is ever to have a good chance at beating Itachi he would have to be a lot smarter than him, but he's not......

I respect this man. He backs up his opinions with facts and data from the manga. Unlike people who just put "Sasuke>Itachi". I still think Itachi is more intelligent than most of the characters including Sasuke, but his disease sets him back so much. During his fight with Sasuke, his disease was actually the factor that led to Sasuke's victory. So to conclude, Healthy Itachi>Sasuke but Real Itachi<Sasuke.

People are just hate the fact that sasuke is better than itachi and to me it happened the moment he awakened his MS. Everyone say that itachi will the battle between the 2 of them. That isnt true for the simple fact that itachi wanted to test sasuke to see who far sasuke grown.

The reason behind that staement is 1st itachi told kisame to make sure no one interferes 2nd itachi stop relay on what he does best and 3rd because he was testing him and when you test someones strength in a fight you dont half@ss because than whats the point. The fact that sasuke was able to counter all of itachi's genjutsu admits means something kakashi couldnt do it and danzo basically ask itachi was a master since he was able to can one's perception of thing.

Genjutsu
Now with that in mind remember sasuke barely uses genjutsu unlike itachi who uses it all the time. Sasuke even overpowered the strongest genjutsu in itachi arsenal (tsukiyomi) with straight will power. The curse seal that was placed on his work off of emotion. So in aspect of genjutsu itachi would win but because sasuke will always get out of it sasuke would take this match read from here

In this category again i believe sasuke wins this for the fact that he two fire, lightning and from what we seen his has more of an arsenal then itachi who has fire and water. Sasuke shown that he can switch one to another and that he is also able to combine attacks to force your hand. Also he was able to beat any type jutsu itachi used until amaterasu and even that sasuke was able to escape using body shedding technique. Every jutsu itachi used was stopped by sasuke. The same goes for itachi blocking kirin with susanoo but giving us something to judge when the clashed with the fireball sasuke won easy. This goes to sasuke

Taijutsu
Whenever itachi is locked in taijutsu he always shying away keeping the fight mid to long range but thats his type of battles. Sasuke had no problem in any type of fighting he is an all around fighter close kenjutsu ,chidori and all of its spin-offs moves. Mid range any of his fire moves as well as combining kenjutsu with the chidori, tsukiyomi, amaterasu and his susanoo. Long range susanoo with the arrows, amaterau and tsukiyomi. Sasuke

Intelligence
Automatically goes to itachi. Sasuke is smart but still itachi know alot more.

Strength
I would say equal because they both seem to be on the lvl and their no real way to show

Speed
Sasuke proves that he is faster by stopping itachi from completing his handseals. Not to mention itachi is say to been one of the fastest when it comes to making handsigns by kakashi.

Stamina
Sasuke win this for the fact that he was able to spam amaterasu, use susanoo, multiple chidoris and fire jutsu all in one fire.

Hand seals
Itachi take this.


I know people scream out itachi is better without reading this or giving proof but that just because they dont know how to prove he is stronger. Sasuke is better then itachi and i know people are going to say its because he is sick but the fact that we all have to deal with is that fact kikishi created itachi to be like that so as much as all of us itachi fan would like to say if he was healthy it would have been different that maybe true but we will never know because him being sick is the only itachi that their is. I do feel the same way, itachi is stronger than sasuke to an extent because of izanami. But sasuke will be more stronger than his brother, thats the bases of the next generation becoming stronger than before.

Yes you have a point there and i can respect you analytical view of the two. I didnt have to read it all to see what you were stating and the facts are true. But also there are some inconsistencies with there power. Remember sasuke showed his true potential when he fought Danzo and he also stood his ground with A and the other kages for a min. Itachi is a very very intellegent shinobi excelling in genjutsu and fast hand seals or just having fast hands in general.

Yes itachi was sick and planned to fight sasuke during a certain time and place for that purpose also not intentionally trying to kill him. But you forget that itachi was resurrected with the iwr technique having an endless supply of chakra and able to regenerate so the fight with kabuto was pretty much one sided and we already knew who had the safety net out of the two (sasuke and itachi) with that being itachi. It would be like if i was fighting with protective gear and my partner didnt have anything to protect him, who do you think would take more chances? obviously me. And i know without itachi's death sasuke wouldnt have the ems. But in the long run sasuke will surpass itachi.

People still view sasuke as a child in a way because of how he deals and handle things but its because of his tragic past. Itachi is a lot more mature because he had to shoulder a great responsibility at a young age.
