I'm sure it's obvi who I think is better but I want to know what others think.

theres only two reasons someone could say wayne sucks.

1: they don't listen to/understand hip hop
2: they rap themselves and are mad at his success.....stop hating people....

If you put it that way, Wayne is probably better and is probably one of the best out there at freestyling, I mean every song he 'writes' is a freestyle. Lupe still has more content even in a freestyle so I don't know, but Wayne really should be considering it's his thing

Exactly you said writes. He doesn't write on paper any more but neither does Jay, etc... The thing is a freestyle is off the top. He walks around and recites the song in his head and rerecords it's several times on occasions which is no a "Freestyle"

i get what you mean. some of wayne's lines will be over my head waaaay longer than i would like to admit xd but even when i do get those lines they are good for a laugh at least and me going "damn i wish i had though of that!" at best. but when lupe makes you stop and think it's always about real sh*t that goes on in the world, not g's moving in silence like lasagna(took me so long to get that line lol)

I been listing to lupe since his mix tapes and food and liquor and I been listening to Wayne since he was on cash money wif BG MANNY FRESH MYSTICAL AND JUVINAL his Mr.Carter album was crazy but now he's wack to me lupe spits the truth and makes u think wat he saying..but nah I'm Neva jealous at ppl success...jealousy is a female trait...

Well actually I don't not like Wayne I just believe there are a few people above him. Also OF is so so, Tyler only has a few good songs and I think Hopsin got him, but that's a whole nother debate.

sorry if this ends up a double post. I myself am somewhat of a rapper. i would say it's much much 1000 times much harder to write a song that's catchy with a nice hook than for someone to just point to something and me kick a freestyle. that's why i say for me lupe is the better mc. wayne is probably the best "rapper" alive no doubt, but wayne is not the greatest song writer by leaps and bounds....

Ha I feel you but Lu has acouple of g-lines himself just on mixtapes Like Mass appeal, Switch, Sittin sidewayz, etc...
