Question about Preta Path and Human Path.

So.. If the user of Rinnegan uses their own body and uses Preta Path and they were like when Nagato was first revived by Edo Tensei, Can they replenish their chakra and/or health through the Preta Path?

Or Can they only replenish chakra through Preta Path and Replenish health through Human Path?

I ask this because when Nagato was fighting Naruto and Bee he restored his health back to normal and I don't know through what.. Can anyone help me?

I'll share the manga page when he was fighting Naruto and Bee when he like turned from all super skinny and bones and needed help to walk then used Human or Preta Path and was normal again.. Idk which one but this is the page:

I think Preta Path absorbs chakra and gives it to the user. Nagato absorbed Bee's chakra and it became his own. His white hair seemed to be shown when he ran out of chakra the moment he revived everyone in Konoha and died afterwards. So because of this, I believe it gave him enough additional chakra(in addition to his infinite chakra even if it sounds weird) and restored his age or made his appearance seem younger. Similar to what Tsunade does.

Just because he has infinite chakra doesn't mean that he can't absorb more chakra. Otherwise, Preta Path wouldn't have worked.

Why didn't he absorb chakra in the first place while he was alive? That would've made sense if he really wanted to do things in his body instead of using inferior techniques through Six Paths of Pain

That could've just been Kishimoto's way of having Nagato when he was alive. Maybe having the rods in his back disrupted his chakra and he was unable to do it effectively. And if he were to take them out to absorb and regain his strength, that would mean that he wouldn't have a way to send chakra signals to the receivers which would be the rods that were on the bodies of the 6pop.

There are flaws to this theory so the best thing I can come up with is that that's just how Kishi wanted Nagato to be back then.

I suppose but don't you think it would've made more sense for Nagato to just use his own bodily paths instead of 6PoP?

Perhaps it is just how Kabuto is using his body and Pein preferred his own method..

I think he can replenish his chakra through absorbing ninjutsu, and Vitality by absorbing Bijuu type chakra
