I was trying to stay true to the desperate/animalistic killer mind set but you are probably right, but how about something a little more fitting than a machette, a duct-taped garbage bag full of broken glass and crushed cinderblock and wrapped in razor-wire :]

These monsters aren't that weak you can cut deep into it but itll take more than one cut to its legs to cut them off atleast 3 per leg
