[Predictions] Naruto Manga Chapter 600 Discussion and 601 Predictions

As itachi said, one cannot change who they are until they die. I personally believe that tobi is obito and that he was killed under the weight of the boulders in the rock slide. Like we saw with nagato, the rinnegan has the ability to bring the dead back to life. Madara uchia survived the fight with hashirama and awoke his rinnegan. I believe that madara found obito dead and brought him back to life and trained him. I don't know why madara took interest in this crushed boy but it is possible that they are related somehow or madara was able to see the potential his sharigan had. if obito underwent training from madara then it is possible that he was the man behind he mask who fought minato. it is possible that madara corrupted obito into becoming the world class criminal he is today or after he died he saw the world in a completely different manor and chose to be the way he is on his own. if this was the case it explains how tobi claims to have given the rinnegan to nagato. Madara probably revived obito in correlation with his plan to give another his rinnegan after he dies so that he would be able to be revived in the future once tobi collected the tailed beasts. In addition zetsu very easily could have been concieved by madara after he obtained hashirama senjus dna. Zestu is still a mystery to us and we do not fully understand his powers. he could have merged with tobi after the rock slide and repaired his body to usable extent. Also do not forget the people who know everything, I'm sure madara has met them if orochimaru has. nothing is impossible in the ninja world so even thought it may seem there are plot holes all will be explained within due time.

First and for most - I was just as surprised as every one else with a theory of Tobi absent of Obito.

That said, as soon as I read the revealing manga - 599 - a few things came to my mind.

† How did Obito age to the point where he could say to Kushina in 501, “Do you have ANY idea how long I’ve waited for this moment?!”

† Where did he get all that Hashirama DNA?

Just by asking those two questions the riddle seemed to lay it’s self down before me.

Orochimaru

He has just come back in to the manga as a player among players. He’s pulled every string imaginable. Every dirty trick. Learned every Jutsu needed, and more, to get what he wants. A Sharingan - along with all the perks, bells and whistles that an Uchiha body comes with. Enter Obito. A young Uchiha boy with a dream fallen in to tragic circumstances.

Now given the latest 600 issue it’s hard to say whether there was influence by Orochimaru & Madara or just Madara - but my instinct is that it’s both.

In this new chapter Obito clearly states that his MS was awakened by the death of Rin. How can I say that? Because that’s how I believe he was saved ... by slipping through the rock which fell and crushed his body. Think X-Men, teenaged mutant has latent power - this power manifests itself through stress and duress. Same with the Sharingan. The MS just has the precondition of the death of a close friend. All of the things which happened to him were just the right conditions needed for Obito to awaken and unconsciously use the ‘slipping’ Time/Space ability of his MS.

At this same time that MS was activated for Kakshi - but we have to remember that Kakashi is not an Uchiha and has no where near the kind of body needed to handle using the Sharingan. That’s why he started using it much later on in his life.

Now, this means that the MS awakening obviously happened soon after Obito was left in the cave-in ... how long was he was alive for? That’s hard to say, but it’s a theory.

I personally think it makes sense for Obito to have met Orochimaru in the same dimension he warps himself in to seeing as Obito’s dimension and Orochimaru’s ‘inner’ dimension look almost identical. However that again is still speculation. Though it would then make sense that Obito would meet Madara through Orochimaru.

Add a Zetsu in to the mix and you have the makings of the masked Tobi we’ve been staring at for the last 318 issues.

So back to Time/Space Ninjutsu - these two possibilities are what I have arrived at about Obito being so old when he faced off against Minato:
† Obito had a growth spurt. Or ...
† Obito’s parallel dimension is exactly like the Hyperbolic Time Chamber from DBZ.

I mean come on, think about it, we all know how much Kishimoto loves to parody DBZ. So this is how I think it would work - basically all of the Time/Space Ninjutsu in the Naruto-Universe use the same parallel dimension [PD]. It’s just that the different T/S Jutsu - plural - work to varying degrees. For instance - Minato travels through the PD when he preformed the FTG and in this way ‘folded space.’ Obito on the other hand travels directly in to the DP with his ‘Migration.’

Lastly to all you haters out there - keep reading the manga, you may just be surprised.

The Rinne Tensei is different from Edo Tensei, the Rinne Tensei has a time limit, he only can ressuscitate people he killed recently, it's not like Edo Tensei that doesn't has a time limit, or doesn't matter who killed him.

a lot of questions came out of this chapter but at the end of it MY....JAW...EXPLODED!!!! How is Naruto going to beat these two? And afterwards, how could anybody even compete with Naruto? I think it's too many powerful people and one time but I'm quite confident in the writing. Can't wait for the overall conclusion. Now off to medical to fix my face!

What if Obito, at Madara's urging, killed him to awaken his mangekyo? If he really did take him in as his pupil... he would probably be the only one, besides Rin, that truly mattered to him. It makes sense that the the aging Madara would encourage this since the plan did seem to be to later resurrect him with the Samsara technique or whatever.

The Rinne Tensei is different from Edo Tensei, the Rinne Tensei has a time limit, he only can ressuscitate people he killed recently, it's not like Edo Tensei that doesn't has a time limit, or doesn't matter who killed him.

This isn't true. Nagato could only bring back the people he killed in Konoha because he was low on chakara and that's all he could manage within that range. He killed himself by doing so. If Jiraya weren't so far away and at the bottom of the ocean, then Nagato could have brought him back too.

The only thing which would stop someone from being revived is if they were sealed, out of the techniques range, or if there wasn't enough chakara to do the technique.

Tobi made sure many people's loved ones died in the Hidden Mist village, he killed Naruto's entire family and indirectly killed his godfather too. He helped kill Sasuke's entire family. All because one person, one friggin person, who barely noticed his existence died. His seventh grade crush more or less.... why doesn't he dye his hair, buy some skinny jeans, and go cry in the corner while cutting himself like any other emo crybaby piece of shit.

Part 1 we get an amazing villain in Orochimaru. Hell in Part 2 when we thought Pain was the mastermind, pretty badass too. I give Tobi a lot of credit for being a great schemer, intelligent as all hell, and quite the storyteller. Speaking of which, isn't uncharacteristic of Tobi not to spill the beans about his history. Everyone else he meets must be told this long winding story.... he's like the robot from Aqua Teen Hunger Force:

"Thousands of years ago before the dawn of man there lived Madara Uchiha...."

Story telling is half of what he does with his spare time, yet he's tight lipped now? Point is, I really expected him to have an intelligent, well thought out reason for this.... but nope, it's just because of Rin. As misguided as Nagato was at least you could empathize with him.
