Hey guys :D

Where do I begin? Okay, I've always been a fan of the series since the very beginning. It has changed my life in so many ways, I can't even begin to imagine what gratitude I can express to Kishimoto for giving us one of the greatest Mangas of all time.

With that being said, why don't we focus on Obito for a second?

The first time Tobi was revealed back over hundreds of chapters ago, I would have never thought him to be one of the most integral characters and antagonists of the series. As the chapters went on, I thought to myself, "this could never be obito." Hours on end I spent looking at the timeline, thinking to myself, how could this ever make sense!!! So, I ruled him out. With Obito gone from my candidates, I decided to wait and wait and wait... until Madara had been revealed to be dead!!! Then I thought to myself, WTF? How can this be!!! SO... I went and theorized again...Hours on end. Came up with what seemed to be Izuna!!! What I found intriguing is that many people came up with the same thought process and theorized exactly like how I did, at exactly the same time! Kishi led us through so many storylines, so many different possibilities; yet when we saw Tobi revealing himself, seeing obito, we all went berserk.

The amount of flaming over a character has never reached this high before guys, congratz.

What I'm trying to get at is, what would have made the storyline the best? What would have made the plot feel just right? If a character barely mentioned who played almost 0 significance in the story, were to be revealed to be the masked man, how would you guys feel? Glorified, because you were right? Well, I was wrong. It's NOT Izuna. It wouldn't make sense to be him. Why would Kishi ruin such an amazing story by making such a minor character the final antagonist? It doesn't make sense.

The worst thing, is the flaming Kishi got for this. The fans yelling and sending hate mail saying: This isn't possible, the plot holes are everywhere, what is this garbage??

All because we were upset we were wrong.

How about we grow up, face the fact that Izuna, a zetsu clone or Obito being under a genjutsu would just be horrid for the storyline and just continue to support the man who has changed our lives indefinitely?

Sorry, but I needed to vent, it was too much.

The fact is, making him obito at this point was shitty writing. When 75% of the readers guessed his identity years ago, and when 75% of THAT population rule him out because it's such an obvious choice that it couldn't possibly make sense, that means it was too predictable and a terrible "twist."

Yeah, alot of people are starting to come across as bleeding vaginas interms their attitude towards the manga as a whole. I mean, if you're going to quit why are you still here?

It wasn't an obvious choice. I hate it when people say that.

Does anyone realize how few people actually predicted that Tobi was Obito? They just want to insult Kishimoto because they were dead wrong.

Obito is just perfect for the plot. Elder son, Izuna, and Kagami all had no influence over the current main characters.

As far as i saw, there were dozens of people who suspected it only shortly after we first saw the swirl pattern of his S/T jutsu that directly mimicked kakashi's. Along with having the hole in his mask on the right side pretty much decided it.

its like taking a test stay with your first answer but honestly who wanted a long back ground of "totally" unknown characters i mean atleast obito had relevance,
Madara's brother would surely hate him for taking his eyes and leaving him blind and he himself would be dead( not ruling him out he may be the one sasuke is going to talk to). obito just seemed to fit unknown motives and a backstory everyone swore they knew just adds on to the story telling lets not all go up in to flames yet cause as far as we know shit could turn like a gay kid coming out of the closet, and we could end this out in a pretty badass way.

Years ago. Over the last year, almost everyone had ruled him out of there theory's, including me.

If it was so obvious, there would be a lot more "I called it" threads. It's as simple as that. It's definitely not Kishimoto's fault.

Point being, most of every theory had Kagami, Izuna, or the Elder Son.

And the fact is, they were wrong, meaning it wasn't obvious. Do you remember how much work people would put into disproving the Obito theory?

Dude, I thought it was Obito before he even got serious. Over time though, I believed he was Izuna.

And I should give a rats ass about Obito more then anyone else because????

We knew virtually nothing about every antagonist in the series, and with a some backstory we were blown away by their painful past and character development.

I don't cheer when the batter for the team I'm rooting for gets a strike.

I think the reason people ruled him out is because they read too deep and over-thought it. Everyone wanted to predict what would happen in a world completely controlled by kishimoto.

Yeah, you hit it head on. I did that exact thing too, I over thought. But I'm liking the direction this is taking.

Imagine if the mask was blown off and it was Kagami? Or Izuna? No one would have even known who they were.
