I don't believe we've seen an Uchiha girl with the sharingan but I don' think it's limited to just the men. Oh wait Sasuke has the sharingan and he's a girl .

I have wondered this myself. most likely there were, just not any who became famous for its use like Itachi or shisui. If you really think about it their are not many famous women ninja in this manga at all. There is tsunade, chiyo and mei though we don't know if she even had much of a reputation before becoming mizukage.
