Learn to Laugh

So I've been browsing the base for about a month now and one thing I've noticed is that there are a lot of people on here who just cannot take a joke. Somebody posts something for a good laugh, and you either have people saying it's pointless and acting like the person who posted it is insanely immature for finding it funny and wanting to share their laughs, or in some cases, when the joke is about a specific character, you get fanboys coming in getting all offended and crap. Calm down people, and just learn to laugh!

Sorry I just felt the need to rant about this

Well, I've found that most people walk around with a chip on their shoulder. It's sad actually, too bad they can't just be happy like me. ^_^ Of course, at the same time, they allow those who are just cool and calm to stand out. Sure, I get my feathers ruffled every once in a while, but only on certain topics that hold more meaning for me than just a fictional character or something.

We'd probably get along great. I just don't understand, do they think it's cool to not have a sense of humor? And like truly i know when someone's joking about something or not and if they are i know not to take anything to offense. It just drives me insane to see so many people who think laughing makes you childish.

Whether something is funny or not is completely opinion based. Just because one person doesn't find something funny doesn't mean they have to sit there and flame the person for having a different sense of humor than they do.

It works both ways. Just like it's someone's opinion it's funny, it's someone's opinion that it's not. Just like how someone has the right to agree with it being funny, they have the right to say it's not in however form they chose.

You're not always gonna get compliments and support. Flaming is a part of life. In real life, you're gonna get much worse. If your panties get in a twist over NB, real life is gonna suck for you.

Quite true! I love finding the people who post funny comments or pics on here, but sadly some people like to put down other people's theories in a rather harsh manner here I only really get annoyed is when people throw out well thought out ones and no respect is given to their efforts. But oh well I guess. Can't always change a person or how they act ^.^

Exactly. It's just a matter of opinion.

And it's not necessarily the person contradicting someones opinion with their own that begins to flame. Not finding someones jokes/posts funny doesn't mean they have to take it as something funny. Because it's a matter of opinion isn't their opinion on what's funny to them reasonable? (Minus the flaming and all which I hardly see when it comes to jokes)
