Do you believe Kisame was a "bad guy".

I feel that he had good intentions but because of others around him he became caught up in bad things.

In the beginning of Kisame's story he was to guard intel from the Leaf Shinobi at whatever cost which includes killing teammates. We all see that his teammates simply can not fend for themselves or keep up with Kisame so he himself finishes them off so the Leaf Shinobi can not get intel.

Was that morally wrong? Sure. But he is just following orders with the good intention of protecting the intel. He could have had a sweetheart in that female shinobi but he did what was best for the sake of his village.

Kisame eventually learns that Fuguki his master was selling information to other villages and proceeds to kill him and take his Great Sword Samehada.

He gets approached by what appears to be the Fourth Mizukage and is commended for his loyalty to the village. Kisame is confused about his life and insists that his whole life has been a lie. A figure approaches who may or not be Obito tells Kisame about the Eye of the Moon plan. A plan that will eliminate all lies within the shinobi world. Kisame is intrigued by this and becomes a member of the organization Akatsuki.

Now what proceeds after these events are what Kisame did with Akatsuki. Kisame was wanted for trying to overthrow a government and attempts at assassination of a danyo. He also captured jinchuuriki and brought them to their deaths which is perhaps murder.

I believe that Kisame had good intentions but went down the wrong path. You can argue that the murders he committed were morally wrong but it can also be argued that he did them out of loyalty for a greater cause. And for what he did in Akatsuki, he did to try and create a better world free of lies. Kisame was not a villain, just someone who had a misconception of creating a better world in an unethical way like Nagato.

He lost my respect when he killed that chick. A man should never kill a woman or child. So, yeah he's a bad guy.
Itachi's situation was different, so screw you if you've thought of saying "Itachi killed women and children". He has the best reason there is to do what he did.

Itachi and Kisame were kind of in the same boat.

There situations were different yet they both did not kill just because.

He was a very loyal man even though he was on the wrong side of the fence.
