Why is Itachi always compared to the Top Tiers?

I don't really see how you fans can compare Itachi to the all-time greats. He just does not have enough power. In my opinion the Top Tier characters are:

• Nagato
• Tobi
• Naruto
• Hiruzen Prime
• Madara
• Hashirama
• Minato(borderline)
• Kabuto(without edo borderline)

Itachi just cannot defeat any of the characters listed above. Also Itachi never defeated any character of significance without a decent amount of help, along with his poor stamina I don't really see how he can make top tier.

well the only reason why he has poor stamina is mainly because of his disease that was the only thing really hindering him but he also has legendary weapons but yeah according to him in the first series he said the best he could do against jiraya was a stalemate so you could probably put him around nagatos level if he did not have the disease probably higher also if he lived to his prime he would be top tier the characters you mentioned were like tier 1 itachi is like tier 1.5

Fanbooyism aside how many people have said itachi was in a league of his own ?Tobi put his parts of his plan on hold because itachi was around.He said this himself.Well versed in the knowledge of his clan being able to perform its most forbidden techniques.Wielding sword of tostkua combined with the yata mirror made him virtually invincible.His intellect was on par with shikamaru.
The only thing he did not have going for him was stamina which his sickness
could of possibly attributed to.And even with that kind of handicap he never let his opponent use that against him Itachi was an all around powerful and wise shinobi.
Who has been shown to best even the most powerful shinobi the manga can produce
by utilizing his own skills

Well we saw old Hiruzen win against the 1st & 2nd + Orochimaru. People assume that just become Hashirama did not use Tree world that they was not at full power. When if he used it Oro, Hiruzen , and Tobirama would have all fell asleep which was not ideal.

Agreed. Itachi, in my opinion, is in his own little category right underneath the unanimous top-tier shinobi. His low stamina kills. The only one that is debatable is Minato.

How did he win when he died? He mite was fighting 1st and 2nd but technically he was just fighting oro since thats part of his jitsu
