[Suggestion] NB Presedential voting !

Voting for a mod would never work.

Just because you like someone, it doesn't mean they will make a good Moderator. Like if you voted for me, i'd probably act nice until i let my temper get the best of me, then get lazy over time ect...

The current application and interview process is much more effective.

thats good and bad because that would give trolls more power.
lets say that nb is made of 80%trolls
and 20%good members
and if that 80% of trolls vote for a troll then majority vote would win and we would have a troll mod.

If it were to happen i would hope the thread would be closed and only a poll would be open . That sounds more neat .

If they need more moderators or global moderators, they will open an application for that. Plus they'll check the posting history, infraction history etc of anyone who decides to post his or her application.

Considering the application isn't open, they don't need more moderators or global mods

There's no need for a popularity contest. Someone isn't fit to become a mod just because one thinks so/is their friend. That's why, applications and interviews are made when the time is right, and Mods are selected by Administrators.

What I'm saying is simple, members don't choose mods, Admins do.

Thanks for the nominations guys but this site is more of a autocracy, which is understandable but this whole thing would turn into a popularity contest rather than people becoming mods for legitimate reasons.

The mods here don't interact with us so they can maintain a professional level and not cloud their judgment when it comes to infractions and bans. Even though i don't like it, again its understandable.

Yes. A forum will appear where you can post an application for moderator. Only you and the admins will be able to see this post. The admins will look through, and select certain people for interviews, then interview them in a group chat on msn to decide the new mods
