Hashirama was noted to be one of the strongest shinobi in his time. He has wood release, sealing, bijuu control, and healing. However I believe Onoki can beat him due to these key reasons.

Onoki has shown that he is able to use his dust release in accordance to the amount of chakra he has. Hashirama can create a forest in an instant but Onoki can destroy that forest in an instant as well. If onoki places a big enough Dust release jutsu even remotely near hashirama, it will completely disintegrate him as shown here where it did that to Madara.

Onoki has been shown to destroy islands as during his battle with Kabuto, he had to be stopped in his fight due to the danger he imposed to the island turtle where Naruto was staying as seen here.

Onoki as well as hashirama and madara has been shown to be able to change the terrain at which the battle is being fought. During his battle with the 2nd Tschukage he leveled parts of the terrain with Dust release blast.

With all this information presented, Hashirama's wood release, Healing, Bijuu control, sealing, taijutsu, and genjutsu is rendered useless. With onoki's ability to fly, he can escape from any hand to hand combat, and with the current genjutsu's shown from hashirama he can simply stay in the air and dust release everything around him as seen when he saved the kages from the pollen flowers.

One hit from dust release completely destroys anything it touches. Hashirama has shown nothing to avoid a medium-massive dust release technique. He has shown no impressive speed feats or anyway to avoid it.

Hashirama can use his wood to fly and he can use it many times than Dust Release. Eventually that method would exhaust Oonki and let Hashirama win automatically.

Nope, Onoki can destroy the wood while he is riding on it along with hashirama. You can't charge straight into dust release. He has been shown to have the ability to destroy an island, hashirama would be unable to switch wood in time to avoid the explosion.

Sorry but Onoki cannot beat Hashirama. Hashirama beat EMS Madara+Kurama. You are underestimating Hashirama's power. One technique like Dust Release cant eliminate someone who is this mighty and powerful.

There's no logic in that. Just because Hashirama beat madara doesn't mean Hashirama can beat onoki. Dust release has destructive capabilities far beyond wood release and it is for an extremely large radius. Hashirama will not be able to beat onoki. That's just the way it works.
