[Discussion] Last year of high school

I just kinda realized that i'm going into grade twelve. I find this so ridiculous since it feels like not to long ago that I had just started high school. Man, I really need to get my act together for this last year. Low grades really just wont cut it this year and i'm kinda stressing about that since i usually get C+'s in my classes. Not good enough. I need to get atleast B's :crazy:
Is anyone stressing as much as I am? Care to share why?

I understand your feeling completely. I'm also a senior in High School, and it feels like just yesterday I was a freshmen!

I'm not really stressing over my grades, but I'm really not ready for my senior year. I don't know how I'm supposed to give a 10 minute speech about the career I want to pursue after High School! :crazy: I don't know how I can just talk about 10 minutes about something like that...

why do you need to get b's? its the last year and you already got through the exit level year(11th grade)...just have fun...
im actually on my exit level year so i have to get A's so i can get a good transcript for college

I'm in my senior year... of college. Right now, everything's easy going, but I'm expending a lot of time and effort looking into PhD programs and deciding where I want to go...

Ya I feel you. I slacked off each year not worrying saying "I'll just do better next year" when I never did... luckily, I'll still most likely get into the college of my choice because of my SAT scores

I'm a senior in High School. Feels good, although like woah, I'm already here, you know? Bottom line have fun and keep work in check, however don't stress.

I just want my record to look better than a C+ average. Plus i have no freedom at home because my mother thinks that C+ grades are terrible so I cant even hang out with friends on week days. I have a hope that if i manage B's that I will get some freedom in my last year.

Grade 12 is not the 'be all and end all', you don't have to stress about is. Sure you need to put just that bit more effort in to get across that finish line, but honestly what ever happens you will be fine. I barely had a good enough mark to get into University but I did a quick bridging course and now I'm second year of a Bsc. Chemistry Major.

Don't stress, you'll be fine ^_^

Haha. You just made me realize that I have no social life. I never hang out with friends on weekdays, much less weekends. Weekends are for homework, and weekdays are for more homework.

I'll give you an advice !

Your last High School year is the best, so enjoy it as much as you can !

I am a freshman in college, and I have so much homework to do, note that I wasn't doing them in High School and I still got A's everywhere except in Art and French I had B.


But yeah, everything is different in college and you have so much work to do, so enjoy your last stay in high school !

I don't know for you guys who are Natives speakers of English, but the hardest thing for a French Canadian in school is French so... And it is extremely hard in college !

Yah my yearly things are "I will do my homework on time" and "I will be organized." Never happens. I might have friends who actually work this year though so that could help.

Ya that's the same with me! If I did my homework then my overall GPA would be like .4 higher and I'd be sittin pretty. Instead my GPA is like 3.3 something :sy:

I guess, but My second semester is going to screw me knowing my work habits. Law 12, Bio 12, english 12.....hopefully i make friends who work well. Most of my old friends are gone anyways since they were grade twelves so I have to make new ones.

Haha. You just made me realize that I have no social life. I never hang out with friends on weekdays, much less weekends. Weekends are for homework, and weekdays are for more homework.

I only get to do something on weekends occasionally. And when I do my mom makes me call when I get there, if im at a friends im expected to not leave the house and their parent has to be there, then i have to call home at 2pm the next day just to hear "come home at 5" I think shes overprotective....

Yah i just lack the drive to do my homework if i find it boring/tedious (most of it) so my gpa is kinda low
