Since Naruto is Rikudo's reincarnation, I reckon Kishimoto is going to reveal the Sage as looking like an older version of Naruto.

I actually see that, I think he''l appear in Naruto's conciousness and he'll look a bit like Naruto and give him a motivational speech and possibly a temporary powerup to help him win, I don't see him appearing in person.
