[Discussion] Why did Tobi say something like this?

he's probalby just saying what madara would say

Honestly people read too much into certain things. Ok so the Rinnegan was Madara's....Madara dies and they fall to the next in charge Obito...therefore theyre Obito's

Ofcourse this depends on Obito and Madara working together and having history which hasnt yet been confirmed. Still its a far simpler and more likely answer

At the moment, we know nothing about their connection that's why we speculate.
It's hard say that Obito and Madara knew each other as Kishi said.If you read what Madara sometime after he was revived via Edo tensei,you'll see that he said 'I awakened this renigaan shortly before my death' .Now we all know Tobi was preaching Madara's history as though he(Tobi) was Madara.
If Tobi is Obito and Madara awakened his eyes shortly before he died then that doesn't make sense because his eyes were then implanted to Nagato;who is a good few years older than Kakashi and Obito.
More questions arise in this case:
1-If Madara awakened his eyes shortly before he died,then who implanted them?If it was Zetsu,then why didn't he go back to Madara when he was revived ?

2-If Tobi is Obito ,then how does he have vast knowledge about things like Susano'o, MS,EMS ,Amaterasu...etc Could it be the black half of Zetsu?Because he seemed to have exceptional knowledge about these kind of things as shown when Sasuke and Itachi where fighting.

That could mean Zetsu has a bigger role in this manga than we thought. :shock:

Exactly!They couldn't possibly be Obito's renigaan unless Kishi does something profound ,I don't think that's possible.
That's why I say Obito body/Izuna soul has legs in it.

Madara didn't implant his renigaan into Nagato himself as he said that he had awakened them just before he died.Meaning that Zetsu possibly,implanted them into Nagato on Madara's orders so that He(Nagato)could learn to use it with expertise and revive him later on.
It still doesn't make sense why Tobi/Obito told Zetsu that the Rinne Tensei was supposed to be used for his purposes and also that those eyes were his . If he's really Obito,then how on Earth could he say that they were his to people who already know who he is??? The eyes were implanted BEFORE he was even born.
If he says that ,then I think we can say that those eyes are actually Izuna's
again that theory COULD have legs.
Remember that Zetsu knows who Tobi is that's why he still calls him 'Tobi'.
