Alright, since I believe we're starting from scratch for your training, let's begin.

First, tell me a few things about Doton (Earth) both as a real-world substance, and in relation to the other elements in the Naruto universe.

Don't use a wiki; just show me what you know.

Earth is normally a strong, hardy element, it consists of mostly substances that come from the ground. It can be rock, which comes in all shapes and sizes in the real world. Or Minerals, that are elements themselves in real life, which may be rare or easy to find.

Mountains tower above the sky, made from large clusters of rock that potrude out of the ground. While there are caves, cracks in the earths surface that go deep underground. The element get's its name obviously, from the Earth itself. Because everything made of 'Earth' in our planet is connected to it.

The element Doton in the Narutoverse, is the manipulation of rocky substances that come from the ground. It can rarely be things like meteors, which arn't connected to the Earth at all, but come from the sky and are made of an earth element in themselves. Earth is weak to lightning, because in real life when lightning comes down, the force coming down from it rips into the Earth, leaving a huge crater. So therefore, Doton was made weak to lightning. Earth is strong against water, because simply water is a liquid substance, which makes it a lot weaker then thick, rock substance that can easily overpower it.

Earth is mainly associated with the Village Iwagakure, hence the name. There are many Doton users in the Narutoverse, such as Akatsuchi and Oonoki, both who come from the village of Iwagakure. Akatsuchi is a master of the Doton element, who could create a volcano which the slamming of his hands to the ground. Oonoki uses a combination of Earth, Fire and Wind to create the Dust Element. But he can still use his normal Doton Elements.

Now, ultimately, we need to take some qualities of Earth and apply them to our chakra; that's how we create chakra affinities that allow us to use jutsu.

So, what are some qualities of Earth we could use to change our chakra?

And yes, I mean what qualities of Earth would be useful for making your chakra earth-like.

But, due to my lateness, I'll just tell you: sturdiness, hardness, and malleability; theses three qualities encompass almost all Doton techniques.

Now, focus your chakra into the paper while trying to make it take on those properties. If done correctly, the chakra paper will crumble into dust.

Infusing my newly gained Earth Chakra into the ground, I focus on the manipulation of the Earth and push a thin pillar out of the ground mid-range from me. I then create a pillar under my feet, pushing me up into the air and sending me hurling towards it.

As I come towards it, I simply swing my leg through it and smash the thin pillar to pieces ^_^

Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured.

This is a...well, a rather useless technique, because no one in this RP is going to let you go underground without keeping tabs on you.

This jutsu works simply: while underground, you'll coat your hands with Doton chakra, and then use your chakra covered hands to easily burst through the ground underneath your opponent; pulling down as you leap up, you'll cause the ground to cave in around your opponent, trapping them, and leaving only their neck and head above ground.

*Creates a Mud clone.*

After the mud clone is made, I jump down the tunnel, lifting my arms and sliding down it. When I come to the bottom, I gather Doton chakra in my palms.

Using the Doton Chakra, I make the ground above me soft, lifting my hand threw the soft rock and grabbing your mud clone, pulling it down. Right before it's head goes through the ground, I release my Doton chakra, making the ground solid again and leaving only the clone's head visible.

(Doton: Gansetsukon) - Earth Release: Rock Section Cane

Type: Supplementary/Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: This technique allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

A jutsu just like the first, in my opinion, only more specialized; you'll simply form a spear within the ground (or several, depending on the variant you use), and use your chakra to propel them up to the surface, and into the air, or your hand.

Useful for creating a weapon, I suppose, but it's not something you can't do with the first jutsu; the only part not replicate-able with Doton no Jutsu is the massive shot version.

Give it a shot.

And...sorry to do this, but if you want to seek out another Sensei (though, I'd still require you drop training with me), I'd understand, as I don't think my response speed is going to increase.

Honestly, being my first Sensei, i'm happy with anything you have to offer, so let's just get this Doton training finished, and when I find another Sensei i'll move on, but until then, your my Sensei! ^_^ Just asking though, why is it slow? Also, do I need to do all of the D Rank jutsu to completely learn D-Rank Doton? :S

Gathering Doton Chakra into my hand, I manipulate the earth infront of me, ripping out a chunk of rock. I manipulate it using Doton Chakra, and form it into a spear ( Staff? The description is a bit misleading xD )

Gripping the spear, I swing it in an arc above my head, releasing it in front of me at increased speeds and it pierces through a nearby rock, shattering into pieces as it hits the solid ground.

Description: After performing the Rat hand seal, the user to control multiple sections of rock and move them around their opponent. The user then forms two gigantic sections that crush the opponent.

A very powerful technique that only requires one handseal. By focusing your chakra into various points around the opponent, you'll cause slabs of earth to erupt from the ground, which you'll then guide with your chakra to try and crush your opponent. Lots of combo potential with this one.

Focusing my chakra into the ground, I slowly manipulate smalls chunks of rock out of the ground slowly, eventually pulling larger chunks out and forming them into two walls, a meter across from eachother.

I squeeze my hand into a fist, and the two walls collide into eachother, making a large crash as they both shatter to pieces.
