If all you have to do for ems is take your brothers ms and if both madara and izuna had ms why didn't they simply exchange with each other why did izuna have to go blind/die?

Because the EMS is the combination of two MS.

hmm so they eyes are not replaced by your brothers but added to them?

We dont know the process so no one can tell you. If its replacing then imo madara didnt know about EMS because he was the first person to achieve and it wasnt on purpose. His plan was to replace his MS with izunas but after he took it he realised it becomes a EMS and it grants the user another power that hasnt been revealed yet in the manga.

No you need both sets of eyes to achieve EMS, you can't just swap...
With EMS this demon like figure has 2 pairs of eyes

Now something that would be possible is what if they each traded one eye? so that both of them would awaken the EMS in one eye... the missing one, don't know replace it with something lol xd

If one Uchiha transplants another Uchiha's eye then he gets to keep both the patterns! Right?

If this ^ stands true then that only means that Tobi either has Obito's eyes and he is not an Uchiha or He's just Obito himself!

My point is... Exchanging eyes is so thoughtful rather than one person losing his eyes.
By the way if you're saying that on person's light goes to other than it stand true even when you're exchanging eyes, provided one person is not totally blind. :ice:

It is simple 2MS(A) + 2MS(B) = 2EMS(AB)
so if you have 2 different MS eyes you can have 1 EMS eye (that was the point of my big post)
example: izuna and madara could both exchanged 1 eye (to add to their own) and gain EMS in one eye (like tobi or kakashi)

I don't think that you can just exchange them, I think that both eyes are fused threw medical jutsu, that's why the ems eyes have traits from both ms eyes. That's also why one person loses their eyes. 2 ms eyes fused with 2 ms eyes make 1 pair of ems eyes. And that only works if it's family!

They both would only have one eye since it takes 4 ms eyes to make 2 ems eyes. Each brother would have one ems eye and a empty eye socket!
