okay ive been watching allot of youtube videos about skateboarders being harassed by members of the public or the police or security guards. now dont get me wrong ive seen people stand up for the skaters so i know its NOT ALL americans (duh)
but whats the deal with it like im in the uk and if anyone sees me skating at a highspeed down a hill they just say thanks when i dodge em and officers just say have a good day and the public dont bother me at all they just let me skate
even yesterday i was in central london with my mates and we were skating and no-one said shit, a few guys came over in star bucks and commented on my awesome pokemon hat but other than that we were left alone
so why all the skater haters?

Every country has problems with skaters as they get in the way rather than sticking to skate parks.

What are you talking about? You can't just make up stereotypes, it doesn't work like that. I know plenty of people who skateboard, my dad just broke his arm skateboarding actually.

America is known for skateboarding...kinda...but, because of so many boarders there, not all can use the skatepark, so when they skate outside the park, they get caught and stuff. some dont like it because skateboarders ruin thier lawn, or property.

Ah, skateboarding...huge problem. See, the issue with skateboarding is because it looks trashy in front of businesses or in nicer neighborhoods. Also, they mark up property in many cases, plus, if someone gets hurt on private property, home or business, then now the owner can be sued for injuries...whether they knew they were there or not.

Usually, skateboarding is associated over here with grungers, pants falling down to the knees and general, all around laziness and lack of responsibility. In fact, there aren't really any skateboarders in the US that don't fit this description, unless they're the type that actually stay in the skateparks and/or skate professionally. However, even professional skaters try to attract that stereotypical audience, so often dress in less than desirable ways. There's not much else to it, and children between 13 and 19 are often considered juvenile delinquents anyway, so the whole skateboard thing isn't helping that at all.

I'm just stating the reason, and I do have to admit, I'm not really impressed with the skateboarding stuff either. A real man rides a bicycle.

i skated.
i was sponsored by a few local shops.
i dont even think its the skateboarding people hate. i think its the stereotype and a group of ragtag losers with crap moves and wannabe punk attitudes that ruin it for everybody.
the experience of skatig is completely different in a park vs. the street.
the street ( to me) is about 100x better because you get to use your creative mind, and thats what the very heart and soul of skating is. creativity.

I haven't met a single person who hates skaters, not even law enforcement. They are just doing there jobs because sometimes skaters skate in skate restricted areas.

Out of all the skaters I've known(and I've known quite a few) there is maybe two that fit your description.
