Quite honestly, is this really a question? O_O

I love basketball, and yes it does require a lot of physicality, but football wins this one by a LONG shot, you need to be extremely physical at every position, and in extremely good shape(yes, OTs are like 300 lbs but they are strong and pretty fast too, they stay in shape, a combination of muscle and fat since it's required for the position, most of them easily bench 350), there is pushing and shoving on every play, in every position except QB, and QBs have to be physical cause at least 10 times a game they get knocked down. Where as sometimes in basketball games can be so unphysical because the refs call fouls on every contact, and the players have to adjust and not play rough, even the most physical basketball game doesn't compare to a football game.

Either way though, you can't really compare the sport, basketball and hockey would be a better comparison tbh.

Unless you're talking about european football(soccer), then this is awkward lol.

Aw cute, people think Basketball is a more physical sport? That's sad.. let's run through this with a short list.

Basketball:
Leaner players
Faster and more agile.
You put a hand on a basketball player, you get a foul called on you.

Gridiron/American Football:
Stronger players
Big wide and fast
The only way you can get a personal foul called is if you try to take someones head off..

and those "out of shape fatboys" in the NFL with tear apart any center in the NBA
