CNN said:
Anders Behring Breivik, the man who killed 77 people in a bomb attack and gun rampage just over a year ago, was judged to be sane by a Norwegian court Friday, as he was sentenced to 21 years in prison.

Ive been meaning to ask this for a while:
What are your thoughts on the rulling?
Should the incarceration be about punishment (like in the US = doing time and time and time) or about rehabilitation (like in Norway = nice prisons, only time that is needed to rehabilitate, if possible ofc)?

If Breivik comes out, he will just get killed by everyone. He will stay in the prison for life, and i'm Norwegian

I find 21 years not long for someone who murdered so many people and expressed his regret that he didn't get to kill more. This is an example of someone who will never better their lives.
Here, we had some people like that, well, who are a real danger to the society if they ever came free, like Dutroux, but they made a special law for people like him that guarantees he'll never leave the prison again alive.
People like Breivik won't ever get better, I suspect. The only way to make sure they can't do more harm is to lock them up. But rehabilitation ... I don't think that will work for this guy.

His sentence will be renewed when his first 21 years has passed, so he will not get out. But Norways prisons is all about helping those who have commited crimes to be able to get back into society, and I hate that. I wish Norway was stricter on their punishments. He will live in a prison for the rest of his life, that is probably nicer than many of the apartments students have to rent to go to school... I hate it..

He said ''I'm sorry for not killing more people'' to the judger.

He will be there for his rest of life, he can never get out or else people will kill him
