Why is Tsukuyomi even included in this when the Op said sharingan or any form of genjutsu that is affiliated with the sharigan isnt involved.

Anyway the reason why sound genjutsu are considered the 'strongest' is because its near impossible to evade. Even when you close your ears you cannot completely evade sound. Eye genjutsu can be evaded by not making eye contact. Thats the reason why sound genjutsu is considered the strongest, also it can catch numerous opponents in the illusion

Clearly you are the one who is not able to read the sentence in the right way. They didnt state "the strongest genjutsu in Mount Myoboku" but actually "At Myoboku, there is a sheet of music for genjutsu...".

Furthermore, one description from one character does not exactly cements its credibility. If so then I guess we are also to accept that Amaterasu is the most powerful physical attack as stated by Zetsu in the very same panel.

And here is the main databook entry for Tsukuyomi, I couldnt find a page as there was only foreign ones.

Amidst the insight and hypnosis possessed by Sharingan, is a supreme genjutsu, born from the aforementioned hypnosis: Tsukuyomi. Originally, people on the face of the Earth live bound by limitations like time, gravity, and space; and how people exert their abilities within those restrictions is what separates the victors from the vanquished. But in the mental world where the caster drags their opponent, the Tsukuyomi jutsu gives them control over those very limitations!

Namely, this means inside the genjutsu, the physical world's common sense is completely irrelevant and opposing the caster is impossible. Somebody caught into the Tsukuyomi find themselves into a strange world of infinity, their fate entirely lying inside the caster's hands. Some time, they will undergo the torments of Hell, and some other time, they will be repeatedly shown a horrendous, hellish picture of agony and mayhem*, with no idea of when either of those will end. As a result, the poor prisoner can only wait until the collapse of their psyches...!! Even a body made of iron or the speed of light are powerless before this jutsu, which is the reason why it is feared as the most powerful.

Look at the bolds that I've highlighted, the wording is up to you for interpretation but notice at the later one it includes "why it is feared" which implies it is not widely accepted as final and proper yet, but statements about the are worded as if already accepted. Also it is just a mere hyperbole.

At the end of the day, both have each weaknesses but sound based genjutsu are superior to visual based genjutsu because its almost impossible to evade and the fact that you are able to catch numerous targets at once.

Gamarinsho is the strongest from the list given and the strongest overall. The page regarding Tsukuyomi is interesting though what was stated about the toad's genjutsu was said outside character bias (the databook) whereas that cannot be said for Tsukuyomi. Zetsu is not omniscient, so he's hardly in the position to be making such claims. I remember he also described Itachi as 'invincible'. With regards to Gamarinsho, i'm also pretty sure that it was introduced in the manga after Tsukuyomi; something which leads me to believe that a contradiction of some sorts has been made (though I maintain that what was said about Gamarinsho holds more weight since it was said outside of character bias).

Not to ruin this post but even if you disregard what zetsu said, its echoed in the DB.

Sharingan is the Kekkei Genkai of the clan labeled as the most powerful, the Uchiha clan. Even among those who have Sharingan, that jutsu cannot be operated without having Mangekyou, which is its culminating point. Concurrently, the only ones who can defeat Tsukuyomi are Sharingan possessors... And even then, exclusively the elite shinobi who have reached particularly high degrees of skillfulness. Once could say this is truly a God-given jutsu solely allowed to those blessed with Uchiha blood and prodigious aptitudes.

Only advantage that sound genjutsu has is because of what ive said in a previous post

Bravo. You can detect sarcasm. Aren't you a smart one?

This might go back and forth so id back out

Hmm interesting, then it seems that there may've been a contradiction, though Arcane Angel made an interesting point of the word 'feared' implying that it is not universally accepted as 'truth' - rather, an opinion which has been built upon stories heard elsewhere. I couldn't say the same about how Gamarinsho was described. Is that from the 3rd databook?

Intentionally uploaded the DB on tsukuyomi because you believed firstly DB > zetsu, but also jiraiya's genjutsu was the latest to get this approval therefore it contradicts tsukuyomi. However KA should topple both or perhaps, izanagi or izanami

Seems to be that when it comes to actual power, genjutsu derived from a doujutsu, noticeable the sharingan are stronger. However sound based genjutsu are more effective

Gamarinsho is from the third DB

Well if Tsukuyomi wasn't in the latest edition of the databooks, one could say Gamarinsho's description does hold more weight. With regards to Kotoamatsukami, I get the impression that it was regarded as one of the most powerful visual techniques, evidence and . The latter is more ambiguous since Itachi could be describing genjutsu as a whole (not merely those which are visual based), though this could be down to another dodgy translation since there former page is very clear on the matter. Will look for the VIZ translation.
