Is finger genjutsu that strong?

In some threads i see people saying that Itachi will win thanks to finger genjutsu or something, but if it's the case, then what about the genjutsu Kakashi used against Sakura, then?

So am i wrong if i say that the finger genjutsu is not as strong as people think? We saw that Naruto who had bad chakra control was almost able to break it, so i don't think that ninjas who have perfect chakra control could fall for it.

I thinkpeople overestimate it. But still naruto who had trained with jiriaya and has huge chakra levels could not break it. I think only high level jonin(or someone skilled in genjutsu) and stronger would even have a chance. Someone like Asuma and anyone weaker would probably be stuck.
