How did Tobi beat the Sanbi/3 Tails?

With all that we know about Tobi's powers now, he doesn't seem to really have any offensive techniques that could K.O the Sanbi in the way it seemed to be K.O'd earlier in the manga. Back then, it showed Tobi being taken for a ride by the Sanbi, and then it moved away from that battle and when it returned to the battle, Tobi had defeated the Sanbi with a certain technique and he asked Diedara if he thought the technique was impressive. What technique could this have been? One of the Kamui techniques? If so, would Diedara not have realised just how powerful Tobi was and that he had space/time jutsu or maybe even a sharingan.

Since after the incident Deidara seemed unfazed by that move, I'm assuming he didn't use Kamui or a real flashy jutsu. He was most likely egging Deidara on with an insult.

filler episode, not really part of the actual manga so I don't think it matters too much. I would assume it was a technique we weren't really meant to see or know about. It would not have been a sharingan technique because Deidara knows the sharingan all to well, and he would have pointed it out at some point if it was.

I doubt it was anything relevant to the actual story.
