Tobi first showed his face (mask) in the series in manga chapter "280" which was released on the 31st of October 2005. This year the date 31st of October comes on a Wednesday the weekly day of release for the Naruto manga. Maybe Kishi would like to release Tobi's identity 7 years to the day of his first appearance. Making him one of the longest running anime / manga mysteries of all time.

However like the rest of you I hope that it is shown next week instead of the inevitable focus switch to Sasuke / Madara.

I don't think it'll be in October, since in an interview I saw a few weeks ago Kishi said that Tobi would be revealed within a few weeks. He'll either be revealed in 599 or 600. xd

The manga is not released in Wednesdays in Japan. I heard they're one week behind the internet, to be honest.
