Kiyoshi has chocolate brown hair with golden highlights and distinct pale skin that easily sets him apart from his darker comrades. Kiyoshi's most distinguishing feature is his light green eyes and strange purple eye markings along with his trademark frown of disdain. The genin often wears a half-length robe that is often left open in the middle. Kiyoshi has the strange habit of hanging his right arm along his waist leaving his sleeve empty. Within his robe Kiyoshi sports a steel-clad vest that he stubbornly refuses to remove, even going so far as to wear it whilst asleep. Other accessories include a steel-wire mesh suit and the standard genin pouch hung along his waist.
Personality
Kiyoshi is a very calm and reserved individual, rarely displaying any emotion and often keeping his thoughts to himself. His asocial behavior and lack of communication with fellow team members has earned him the title, 'Kiyoshi the Mute', a name he hates deeply. Despite his seemingly cold and hard demeanor, Kiyoshi has proven that he is more than willing to sacrifice his life to fulfill a mission or save a comrade, something that hints that the genin does indeed have a softer and more dutiful side to him. A well known quirk of Kiyoshi is his exceedingly paranoid nature, which results in him wearing his steel-clad vest wherever he goes. Another of Kiyoshi's various quirks is that when he speaks, which he rarely does, he refers to himself in either the third person or as 'one'.

Background Info
History
Very little is known by the general public or even his own teammates about Kiyoshi's past whilst the Raikage and his councilors are well aware about the boy's history. What is known is that Kiyoshi was born and raised in Otogakure under the reign of Orochimaru. Kiyoshi was often experimented on and some believe he was even injected with a vial of the Sannin's blood leading to his appearance nearly resembling the traitor, though these are all just rumours. Kiyoshi and his parents escaped when the boy was five from the village and entered Kumogakure seeking political asylum, something which they received. From there on out, the mystery is cleared. Kiyoshi attended Kumo's ninja academy and consistently ranked average in both physical and academical tests. He graduated to genin level at the age of 13 and is currently training under his sensei.
