Naruto using Rasengan on Tobi

Seriously, why did Naruto use Rasengan on Tobi's FACE?

I know he wants to learn who Tobi is and all this stuff...
but Tobi's mask is pretty hard, as we could have seen earlier. Tobi is most likely not going to receive ANY damage from this Rasengan.

After all this hard work and strategy to make just one hit, shouldn't Naruto aim for, I don't know, a neck or stomach? Tobi's face could as well be seen AFTER his death.

Is Naruto that stupid or is there some higher in-universe logic for aiming at the mask? :shrug:

Me too and it seems that the mask is broken the same way it was in the fight against konan so doesn't that tell us that he is going to use izanagi with the MS ?

Naruto wanted to know who Tobi was, so he did what he felt like he had to do. He broke the mask so they can know who he is.

He won't use Izanagi with that eye. I think that eye is too important for him to lose.

so when you're shooting someone with a gun, should you go for their stomach? or do you go for their head/spine/neck area...

Yes, but in this case the head was well protected. If you wanted to shoot a man with a helmet, would you aim at the helmet?

If the gun is capable of penetrating the armor of the helmet, yeah...

remember that rasengan is basically chakra flowing uncontrollably in a controllable sphere, chances are the distorted chakra rotation plus momentum of Naruto's movement is cabable of penetrating the "armor"...After breaking the armor(as seen in the manga) if the rasengan continues which It usually does, it could potentially **** up tobi's face/head and whatever's on the inside of it...

You will see next week that this Rasengan will not even touch Tobi's face.
Still, if it managed to hit somehow, Tobi would be pretty much finished, that's right, but then the face would most likely be too messed up to recognize him. Ok though, I guess we can blame it on the fact Naruto prefers to act rather than think.

I still think aiming at the neck or stomach would be a better idea.
