Oo well you had connects. Everywhere I go is pretty strict. Unless there is a girl behind the bar I can sweet talk into letting me get a drink, I usually don't get one.
I always had to get my friends to go by me drinks. Still that is a pain in the ass. I wish I can just go get it myself. The gas stations and Alchohol stores here in the U.S are very very strict about the age limit. It's because they can lose their license selling it to minors.

Well, I have to agree and disagree on the sh*tty part. True, congress is a bunch of monkeys and the current president is the biggest monkey of all (please ellect a Republican! I don't care who, just get them in there! xd) but at the same time the US is the greatest country on the planet hands down.
OT: Yes, I completely agree, the drinking age should be 18. I'm 24 now of course...but did the legal age stop me? Heck no, I learned to hold my liquor at 17, and I was drinking beer at 15 (my brother was drinking Makers Mark at 13, and he'd get another bottle every week). I'll tell you this though, when I finally turned 21, I stopped drinking entirely, then picked it up again three years later.
The first time I ever bought a drink, I wasn't even carded. Can you believe that?! Try this: walk into a liquor store, don't even ask for assistance at all, and buy a bottle of John Jameson. Also, make sure that you have a beard of any length, and walk up to the checkout like a man. As long as you don't seem nervous in any way, they won't even ask for ID (in most places). Enjoy the booze.
It needs to be something serious though, like whiskey or rum etc., and at that point they'll know you're old enough even if you're not. xd

Haha. I was just speaking out of anguish when I called the U.S shitty. I don't really that way about it. It's a great country just some things about it piss me off.
I bought before without people checking my I.D and hey sometimes I do get away with it. But when it's like a Friday night and you need to get some it sucks when they card you cause then it just ruins it. It's happened to me so many times it's blasphemy it ruins my plans.

If u think the country is shitty why fight for it xD but anyway i think 20 would be better though, if it was 18 the drunk driving rate would sky rocket which would lead to lots more accidents. I don't smoke cigarretes even though im 20 and i have nothing against cigarettes so im not even gonna start with that. Weed on the other hand i believe should be legal i mean it comes from the earth that'd like making grapes or aloe Vera illegal, i don't mind drugs like cocaine, Meth, heroine being illegal since those are man made. But enough ranting

Oh ok and yea well yeah they are now I've been out of school for a while so correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe the drinking age use to be 18 but was bumped up after probition.
That's si bad, in Austria you get soft alcohole (beer and wine) at the age of 16 and hard alcohole (anything else) at 18. I couldn't imagine how it would be still not beeing able to drink legal with my 20 years.

Yeah, I think some things tick everyone off about their respective countries.
Yeah, it sucks, but once you're 21, you won't even care as much, trust me on that. xd The only thing worse than not being able to purchase, is mixing any alcohol with anything...even ice. If you can't drink it straight, then you don't deserve the bottle you bought...in my opinion at least. xd
