Which of the two do you think requires more physicality? And why?

I think, Football.
When you are playing football and you are losing, you should use all your energy to run in the field get the ball and score. That's very hard and the time is going, so you are scared or angry that you are losing.
Football is my favorite sport.

why basketball?

Well because in basketball all the players have to be strong and fast, not just one. Also when its basketball season they can play games sometimes every other day and still give a great performance not just once a week.

I hadn't taken that into consideration, but consider the leg work from rebounds dunks and blocking shots along with the shots taken without wearing pads in basketball as well. Not to mention the starting lineups don't have as much time to rest.

Basketball, because in Football you touch someone and it could be a penalty kick.
Unless you're a noob and talking about Gridiron... which in fact only touches the foot on 4th down, a PAT or Field Goal.

Be more specific.

Understand the Post in Basketball and grabbing rebounds which has way more physicality than Football.

I'm sorry, but I almost didn't read your post. I think I'll reconsider my closed-mindedness toward white women now . But to answer your question I'm talking nfl and nba... college can also be included.

Petty.

You're an idiot if you think Basketball can beat Gridiron in physicality.
1 phrase to kill your stupid thread - "Contact Sports"

Basketball isn't one, even though playing in the post and positioning for rebounds involves some contact it's not a Contact Sport like Gridiron.

Yeah, but football players wear pads and cups, have offensive and defensive players, who constantly switch from ass warming bench to field every fourth ****ing down. Basketball players are more athletic as they jump, and run constantly up and down the court, risk costly injuries when attempting to draw fouls, and oh yeah, they don't wear cups, or pads.

All you've stated has nothing to do with physicality at all.
You're simply comparing the athlete.

You're wrong! Physicality as in physical qualities and overall standards, which are generally required of the body... not so much as intensity levels and momentum gained from physical contact... Basketball players are required to do more than football players. The big guys on the court have to do just as much running up and down the court as smaller players. Playing basketball consumes energy a lot faster than playing football, so there is a greater physical need, or physical quality. Conclusively, basketball players have to give greater efforts, because the sport requires much more than just running (with the exception of tackling in football). It's easier to just take a hit from another player, than to drive through the lane and dunk the ball. Catching an alley is a lot more intense on the body, than catching the ball for a touchdown.
