He is showing his brother disrespect no matter which way you put it, he can follow his own path if he wants, he just shouldn't be under the illusion that it is for his brother.

That doesn't make it justified because it still doesn't follow an eye for an eye, by definition he isn't avenging his clan he is killing innocent people

I don't think he will get his revenge, he still has some sort of bond with Naruto considering he chooses to fight him first before getting his revenge as it would be a perfect time now, the fact that he is choosing to fight Naruto first instead of getting revenge first is just stupid and arrogant.

The way Sasuke wanted to get rid of everyone in Konoha is the same as how the elders ordered Itachi to slaughter every single uchiha, icluding children, innocent women and old people.

If he goes for Konoha, Gaara won't take this sitting down, that means Suna would be after him. With Onoki's newfound respect for Gaara, Iwa would probably join in as well. With Sasuke "capturing" Killer Bee in the past, A and Kumo would also join in. Theres no specific reason for Mei & Kiri to join, but being an international criminal is probably enough. And let's not forget the Samurai as well, for breaking into the Summit killing Samurai around, and for being somewhat allied with the ninja, that gives Mifune reason to join as well

It turns from Sasuke vs Konoha, to Sasuke vs Suna, Iwa, Kumo, Kiri, and the Samurai all at the same time.

I see his logic but he isn't avenging the clan, as he isn't killing the people responsible in retribution (well he is as a side effect), he is just doing what the elders did. Konoha as a whole had nothing to do with his clans death so he is mirroring the acts of the elders rather than avenging the clan.

noone said it will be easy , i believe he'll have orochimaru at full strength as well as Kabuto DSM , Taka and may some edo if anyone dies in this war , konoha alone would have their hands full. ppl would die like the invasion of pain without the bs revival

That's not avenging, that's revenge. These are two different things.

Revenge is going after something that has wronged you directly. Sasuke killing the Elders would be revenge.

Avenging is the same as revenge, but instead of just going after the specific person that wronged you, you're also aiming to undo the effect of said wronging.

Sasuke is an avenger, not someone who wants revenge. The effect of the thing that wronged him is Konoha being alive. As an avenger, he is going to undo this effect, which is killing Konoha, thus avenging his clan.

He is not Itachi, he is sasuke. Itachi's logic makes no sense he didn't have to kill children but he did and people like the mess with sasuke, bottom line he is not his brother; Itachi stands for the leaf the people that made him kill his own, Sasuke stand for Uchiha (his people).
