I've been noticing that some people (2 or 3 at most) seem to think that edo madara= Base Sage of Six paths and that the sage of six paths is mainly all hype.
People who say this will also have you believe that the Juubi is actually stronger then the legendary sage and that the sage simply sealed the Juubi and never actually defeated it.
what I say to that is....
1.) It does in fact specifically state the sage defeated and then sealed the Juubi(whether this is to be taken literal or not is unkown), as appose to the Sage fought and then sealed the Juubi.
2.) Even if the sage just ran up to the Juubi and then sealed it then....
You can say "<insert name here> is not stronger then <insert name here> he just got caught with a genjutsu/ninjutsu technique"
saying that sealing someone like that doesn't count is the same as saying catching someone in a genjutsu or hitting someone in a Ninjutus doesn't count.
Sealing is beating someone.
3.) The sage had to unseal the Juubi to do creaton of all things and make the bijuu's right?
So the sage,
on his death bed unsealed the juubi, split it into 9 pieces then made the moon then gave a speech to the bijuu's he'd just created. (keep in mind he did this all using his own chakra(not the Juubi's) while old and on his death bed)
This would mean He basically defeated the juubi twice, once young, once old.
So that should clear that up....
the Sage is simply stronger then the Juubi.
As for edo Madara being equal to a base sage of six paths, It has been stated that edo Madara is just a fraction of the sages power and Id say a small fraction at that.
The sage simply has better feats and more hype.
I doubt Madara could make a Moon right now, much less on his death bed
I would say that Kurama alone could give Madara a little bit of a fight and thats only about 1/9th as powerful as the Juubi.
The baddies of Naruto are currently fighting over pieces of what the Sage once had.....
So my whole point of this thread is no, no one is currently even close to as powerful as the Sage.
Facts on what we know about the Sage of six paths.
