Orochimaru was always the Strongest of the Sannin

Jiraiya almost died to three tailed beast while Oro owned four tails. I think that is enough proof that Oro is far greater than Jiraiya.

True yet jiraiya wasnt ready to fight the three tails or to annihilate his student.. Plus oro lost to itachi before the fight even started and itachi said he and kisame would end up dead if they were to fight the sannin jiraiya

im thinking it more of intellect. J-man could pull a dark brotherhood move and strike oro without being detected. hell even pain didnt detect him at first. J-man knows all about Oros jutsu and all in all J-mans abilities seem to counter Oros own. Now i do believe that Oro could woop j-man in some battles but more often than not i think J-man would win

I think that Orochimaru has a sage mode the same one that Kabuto uses
he absorbed the sage mode from Kabuto In which case he should have been overwhelmed by nature energy and he wasnt

Each of the 3 had there own abilities.
Tsunade was the strongest in terms of strenght
Orochimaru is more intelligent and spent more time on learning new jutsu esp d forbidden ones.
Jiraiya was d more tatical in battle.
Orochimaru maybe stronger cos he made himself imposible to kill but I dont really think a battle btw d 2 if Jiraiya gets serious and forget of their former bond would end in Oro's favor.

Lol, this^. The only fight we saw healthy Orochimaru in was when he was messing around with Hiruzen. After that, none of his fights were legit so yeah, Orochimaru is the strongest Sannin.

Ok let down the list.

First im a huge jiraya fan. I love him from before i even new what sannin were but still i think orochimaru would win.

orochimaru did have a chance at being hokage but the 3rd turn him down. He was turn down because he was the type who gave up everything for a mission. To the point were he kill injured comrade to get back home without an issue. Told by the guy who made naruto steal the scroll (for me it doesnt count because its a filler but its still some type of prove). After that than oro was caught with human testing and kick out of konoha

Next

We talk about the 3 on 2 match

jman who had been drugged, 50% naruto and a 100% tsunada vs oro who had his arms sealed and 100% kabuto (Just so were clear it was stated by kakashi that kabuto at that age was better than him and by i think jiraya he was to some point equal with tsunada in medical jutsu not totally sure who said it but it was said)

Again oro was able to hold his own against jman. kabuto even was able to hold tsu back. The snake, slug and frog tussled and manda was winning. Naruto comes and hit a rasangen and tsu at that time is helping jman. NOW oro is still able to hold both of them back but oro put down his guard and focus on naruto. Evening saying that boy will become a problem for me. Oro is boss enough to ignore both sannin and go to attack naruto. Tsu go all ape sh!t moaning about being kage chases after him knocks him around by the way i dont think she was hold back on any of those punches and oro didnt throw himself up meaning damage wise oro got the same beating if not worse than what jman got for peeking in on the ladies. JMAN NEEDED HER TO HEAL HIM RIGHT AWAY ORO WAS ABLE TO STAND UP WAIT FOR KABUTO TO APPEAR BY HIM TO LEAVE.


Also stated by jman he tried a few times to bring oro back to konoha. As we know oro isnt their so i guess we have to assume oro won each time and be honest do you think jiraya would go into a fight have @ss for something like that. Well i know naruto wouldnt.


Moving on

Im just goin to touch on this topic but i do agree jman wasnt fighting naruto he was just trying to teach him to control the nine tails things just got out of control so you can factor that in this argument. Oro on the other didnt stop because of lack of charka or because of his body. He stopped because it was at a stalemate after he retreated his body started to reject him (knowing orochimaru in the middle of a fight he would have said something about his body). Stalemate doesnt just mean ur able to overpower someone it also mean stalling and everyone here knows oro is the best it comes to stalling. Now lets pay close attention everyone watch the epi over or look at the manga if you dont believe me but to me the 3 shields stopped the tbb. Because if you look carefully you can see the forest was DESTROYED besides the area behind the shield which leads me to believe since oro was right behind it he got pushed back. Also everyone here punched a brick wall before and the most that happen to the wall was close to nothing. So would a sane person continue to punch no they would stop. Orochimaru is a lot of things including sane. That would be a endless cycle of nothing happening so he stopped.

Chunin exam was able to hold his own against kakashi (sneaking out the hospital)

Out shine tsunade with medical nin jutsu (When he attack her nerves system)

(Talking about the 2 on 1 MS and EMS vs SM)

Would have beaten itachi if sasuke wasnt there

Jirōbō, Kidōmaru, Tayuya Sakon and Ukon curse mark form (told to sasuke by them)

Beat jugo the master of the curse mark

If he didnt die from cancer he would have killed both garaa and lee

I only want to point out one thing. Sasuke got mad at sai and yamato for saving naruto when he was about to stab him in the back. He jump back on the wall and raises his hand and oro comes in and stop him telling him not to kill them. At first i thought new chidori but then you start thinking how many times do you see sasuke raise his hand to the sky (Only twice that time and when he fought itachi). What move at that time did naruto sai sakura or yamato have to stop kirin nothing.

Now its time For jiraya and orochimaru

Sorry to say this jman doesnt have any move to put oro on his butt. SM is what everyone keeps saying but jman can do it by himself he need ma pa and himself to put that off. Ma and pa gathers sage chakra and he gathers his own. When is he going to get the time to pull that off orochimaru isnt goin to relax while thats happening. For each frog you can match with a snake. Oro on the other hand can go white snake sm right away shown while fighting sasuke. He has a cut that can cut through any normal thing. When it comes to chakra in jman isnt in sage mode orochimaru wins. Itachi state when fight sasuke that throwing yourself took most of your chakra and oro does it for fun meaning he has chakra to burn for years.

And to end one more this itachi only never fought orochimaru. Orochimaru tried to steal his body using gen jutsu. Itachi broke out using the sharingan of course because its said that its almost impossible to catch sharingan user in gen jutsu because the sharingan can read the flow of chakra and can see through illusion. After that itachi cut his hand off as punishment
