best and worse franchise

how the hell did the avengers become the number3 highest grossing movie ever? To be honest i prefer the dark knight rises way more than the avengers. Just wanted to point that out. I guess years of anticipation payed off.

Now basers, whats the best movie you'v ever watched, that movie that just made you whisper to yourself 'genuis', for me it forever remains the dark knight, or @ least kickass, but my best franchise is definately, pirates of the caribean, couln't really follow that harry potter series, i gave up in part four, and i just despise that fake ass vampire movie called twilight, spiderman is awesome too, and fan favourite lord of the rings, its pretty cool, so whats your best movie, franchise, and worse ones?

avengers wan't that good but it was a marvel movie so people would want to wacth it, there are better movie's than that but there are alot of fans for those marvel characters and they came together in one movie.

Highest grossing movie doesn't mean anything because they don't take into account things like inflation of currency and increased globalization.

If you adjust for inflation, Star Wars Episode IV is the best selling film of all time.
