Rins death / kakshi gains MS

Yes this is a theory, and yes it not about who Tobi is or isn't.

Okay I will start by mentioning the chapters, where Obito dies and Kakashi gets his sharingan, and he makes a promise to Obito about protecting Rin. The promise he made about protecting Rin was of great importance to him.

I believe Rin must have died some time during the time skip. We clearly knows she is dead. Kakashi told his father that he could not keep his promise to Obito.

So what happened in this time? How did Rin die? And what importance does it have for the story? I could come with a lot of conspirational theories. My best would be something regarding Akatsuki capturing her to obtain informations on Kakashi, since they knew he would be around Naruto, when they would start gathering the tailed beasts. But I will keep my speculations to my self.

The fact is, Rin died during the time skip, and Kakashi awakened his MS during the time skip. This I am certain happened at the same time. This scene cannot be unimportant to the story, and we'll surely get to see it, and if I am right, we will see it soon.

She might because he was technically in charge for a little when he was a jounin.

But if you check the wiki her first appearances are during the Kakashi gaiden, if it was her it would state she appeared earlier

Thats true, but they where close-ish so I don't think she would of bothered with a suffix.

My problem is nobody knows who it is. The only problem is she has black hair and rin had blond or orange i guess. But that could be changed, although not likely. Still I believe in rest of the theory, if it is Rin or not.

lol just watched that episode yesterday she's an anbu member. Her boyfriend/brother (not sure) died in Oro's invasion with the Sand and Sound. She was just there to show that Kakashi is there alot and can't get over Obito and Rin(plot)

Just found the "dubbed" episode zzzz, anyway seems she goes by Uzuki Nagao, but that gives nothing, so she's not important it seems.

Kakashi said all of the important people in his life had died before the timeskip when he talked to Sasuke, Rin would fit this criteria so she can't have died then

Nope not important plot advancement only. The manga said she died later in the war.

Rin's fate after this was unknown at first. She is assumed to have died, as Kakashi has indicated that all those close to him were dead and the fact that he lamented on how he failed to protect her. This would later be confirmed during Kakashi's dying moments as he was going to see Minato, Obito, and Rin.[2]Narutowiki

why the hell would akatsuki waste their time to kidnap Rin to lure in a young kakashi who was no threat, and still wasnt a threat to their plans? and how would they know that kakashi in the future would be paired with naruto?
