[Discussion] who would you save?

the scenario is you can save one of the following people from a horrible death(not specified but they all die, except for the one you choose obviously)
brackets are age
a baby(1)
a child(10)
a teenager (15)
an adult (30)
or a elderly person (65)

please give proper answers and a explanation as to why you would choose that certain person.

also, if you give a answer and have legit reasons to back your reason i will give Rep+

well,i think i will save a teenage girl(around 15 to 18), if you find such case please save her for me! there is no special reason, i was just joking..
but in fact i wil save teenage cuz adults and elder people have lived a long enough time and kids are not that attached to life ,then teenage will be good option.

I would save the teenager (15), because an elderly person doesn't have long to live anyway, a baby although it would be harsh for it to die although it hasn't even begun to live, I wouldn't save because of exactly that reason (if that makes sense). The hardest decision would be between the adult and the teenager but after thinking long about it the teenager would benefit from it's near death experience and (hopefully) make the most out of it's upcoming adulthood after it. The teen would work hard in school, go to college or university and get a degree and then go to work as a fireman or something and become a benefit to society by paying it's taxes and marrying, thus getting children of their own. The adult only lost out because only one could be saved and the teenager was more beneficial.

I would save a Child (10), because it's among the younger ones.
The reason I didn't save an Adult or Elder person is because they lived enough, The Opposite is for a Baby, it lived too short and doesn't know what life is. Teenager lived 15 years but knows a lot about world and stuff. That's why I chose a Child (10), He/She just started revealing the secrets of the world.

I would choose the baby, because all the others are to some degree independent while when such a baby gets into such a scenario it is the fault of the parrents. All the others might have been responsible for their deaths while the baby cant.

ok, that makes sense, but just say there was going to be a nuke and you had shelter underground and only had room for one more, and then you had to choose. then who would you pick?

The teenager, because when such a thing happens you need to take in mind that you are also responsible for the next generation of humanity. A baby/child have a bigger chance to die from the radiation and the grown up/elderly wouldnt really be usefull for the next generation, because: the elderly is too old to give birth to another child and someone who is 30 also doesnt have the best chance conmpared to the teenager.


And when a nuke goes of I think the grown up chose wrong during elections.

I would save all of them, since I couldn't live with myself knowing because I saved one of the people, the rest died.

The old person would also want, that a younger one should be saved (at least he should say that).
The adult has already lived some important parts and should also have the same opinion as the old one, let the younger one live.
Well, the teenager...I am really surprised how many choose him...just because it could be a girl and you could get a kiss...~.~ I hope these people won´t be in such a situation and let because of such things other die. There is a big chance, that this teenage boy/girl is a scumbag/****. And who knows, if they would change life, just because they have been saved? Nobody...

So for me there is only the choice between child and baby. I prefer to save the baby, but as someone said already, it´s life was to short, itself "wouldn´t care".
So at least I choose the child. (And maybe get cash from parents)

If I had to pick, it'd most likely be the kid, child, or teenager. Within those, the kid or child would be my top 2.

Definitely not the elder or adult because they have lived some of there life. I am leaning towards teenager more than kid or baby because saving a teenager may put a new outlook on life for this person. A teenager should have a good understanding of things and there would be good "potential". Also I could make a new friend and who doesn't like new friends!
