Thoughts on Orochimaru

So since Orochimaru has come back and is now in cahoots with Sasuke, what role do you guys think he's going to play in the manga now? Personally I don't think Kishimoto just brought him back to help Sasuke find some new information. I think he's going to end up playing a major role in the unfolding of future events. So just tell me what you guys think

none. he is going to give sasuke what he wants, then sasuke will kill him.

I think he's there because he's still the best villain in the series and deserves a place in it's climax. So he gets to guide sasuke to "the one who knows everything".

I'm afraid he'll get Uchiha'd again. That seems to be his destiny.

I hope he'll manage to actually do something worthwhile though. He shouldn't come back just to help Sasuke.

It would be really anticlimactic if that was the case. Bring back the villain whose shown to influence so many of the manga's events even in supposed death/eternal seal just to be killed after he's done his part...I think I would have to go "Misery" mode on Kishi.

He's going to have a big role, yes. Kishi wouldn't have the first (and best) villain brought back just to be killed a couple chapters later. As you said, Kishi showing the events he had a part in and influenced for so many chapters while people thought he was dead is a good sign.

i would love to see that he gives a fµck about anything and just chilling. maybe saving sasuke 2-3 times from death in the next upcoming fight but nothing more

I know this will probably result in a flame war, but everything really does seem to go Sasuke's way very, very often. I really want Orochimaru to live and do something you'll remember him by before he gets taken out again (because let's face it, that guy is EVIL)

(And because I said that, I bet he's actually been surreptitiously good all along)

I REALLY hope not. To see my favorite villain turn good would be absolutely terrible. But in all honestly, I don't think people who get a kick out of experimenting on innocent people and killing them 90% of the time as a hobby really just turn into good guys.
