I new here in this manga base I am 47yellowflash I noticed when kakashi use kamui on deidara bomb did that effect tobi in any way because SPOILER: in the 597 kakashi explained that his kamui dimension and tobi dimension are connected so wouldn't that mean that if tobi was in his dimension when kakashi use kamui on deidara he would die

NEWEST CHAPTER SPOILERS:

It would only have effected Tobi if Tobi had been in the dimension he uses to "phase" through stuff, which he more than likely wasn't. However, at this point the best way to defeat Tobi would be to force him to start "phasing", then completely engulf him with Hachibi (forcing him completely to the other dimension) and then Kamui a massive attack to him.

They have to be in the same space. And I mean that they have to be in the same dimension and in the same location. The reason the kunai and the rasengan hit is because they were both sent to the same dimension and would hit the part of Tobi's body that is in that space. If Tobi is a country away and Kakashi Kamui's something, it won't hit Tobi, because he's far away.

How about Sasuke Susanoo Arrow. Sasuke, Tobi, Kakashi were all in the same area, the bridge where Danzou die so wouldn't that mean that tobi would have got hit by a high speed arrow if he was in the other dimension

If he was in the path of the arrow, yes. The important part is that the attack has to have been aimed to attack Tobi. Like if an attack was going to hit him in the chest, yeah? He phases his chest out to the O.D. Now Kakashi throws a kunai at his chest and, before it hit, he uses Kamui to send it to the O.D. Now it's on a path in the O.D to hit Tobi's chest.

You clearly don't have the slightest idea how this whole Kakashi/Tobi dimension thing works.

I'm gonna simplify this as much as I can because so many people seem to be confused:
  • In order to hit Tobi you have to physically hit him whether it be in one dimension or the other. If Tobi moves his body to the other dimension then you have to follow him into the other dimension and hit him in that dimension.
This is how Kakashi's kunai and Naruto's Rasengan hit him - because they actually hit Tobi's body in the other dimension. They existed in the same dimension and location as Tobi.

That is really all there is to it.

No I dont think so. Tobi was probably tangible then in the regular world. Even if he was intangible he probably wasnt hit by the explosion because Tobi wasnt at the scene of the battle. When Tobi uses his S/T Ninjutsu he sends his body to the exact spot in space and time in a parallel world meaning the only way for an attack to hit Tobi while he is intangible is for an attack to be aimed at Tobi then Kumied away by Kakashi at the last minute like what happened with the kunai scratching his mask or Naruto's rasengan hitting him.

You have to think of the other dimension as being like a mirror image of the naruto dimension. Tobi is able to make himself exist in both dimensions at the same time. When he does that, he is in the same spot in both dimensions.

When kakashis kunai and narutos rasengan hit tobi, it's because kakashi sent them to the other dimension into the same spot that tobi was standing in the regular dimension.

The only way deidara's explosion could have hurt tobi is if tobi was standing in the other dimension in the same area that deidara was standing in at the regular naruto dimension.

No, it didn't. I don't think some of you quite understand the concept. Just because Kakashi sends things to another dimension doesn't mean Tobi will get hit. The alternate dimension Tobi and Kakashi have is quite literally a copy of the real dimension. The space and time of that dimension is the same as the real world, it's just phased into another reality. Like when Kakashi cuts a hole in space, he basically opens up a "portal" in a sense to the other dimension that SHARES(BUT IS NOT THE SAME) the same topographical space and the same time frame as the real world.

So, in regards to Deidara blowing himself up, Tobi would have to be phased in the other dimension in that very same spot where Deidara would have been phased through dimensions to be hit by the explosion.

I hope this might have cleared it up a little.
