Many people wonder why Kakashi's Mangekyo sharingan is still in effect and hasn't lost it's light yet.

I was also curious about this, so I decided to investigate and this is my finding.

There something about Kakashi that not many people know about, he has something that allows him to keep his light.

Kakashi posses this! It is hidden from us but at the same time it is in plain sight! These two amazing blessings allow Kakashi to have an EMS type sharingan. The origin of these two items is still unknown and I'm still working on finding them. I'll update with any of my findings.

But in all seriousness of the subject matter, why doesn't he?

I have a theory, though it's not even half-baked yet. Simply put...he has. He lost sight in that eye. He has somehow trained his other eye to make up for it. It sounds like the sort of badassery Kakashi or any other ninja might pull off. Such as adapting to a poison and learning to squirt it from your eyes, after one dose, which was placed by your wife (who was running it as a test for the new guy) in your dinner.
