Final Fantasy 7 was my favorite, followed by 8 and 9. Anything after 10 is trash IMO.

9 was to short it seemed. 10 was ok, sad ending. 10-2 was a girly cop off. 13 to linear, but good gameplay. Didn't bother with 13-2.

lol ya 7 is overrated, but still theres no denying its a masterpiece with great.....everything.

8 huh? Im gonna be honest here its one of the few final fantasy games I haven't played O.O, Ill have to check it out.

I personally like 7,6,4 and 10 the most. Hard to decide which one I like the most though.

I haven't finished 9 yet so I really don't have a say in that aspect, but I'm about 50 hours in, and it's been great so far. 10 was the last good thing to come out of Square Enix IMO, it had just enough of everything to make it enjoyable (granted Tidus was obnoxious).

Agreed, 10 was great... but Tidus is really not the greatest hero I've seen, he's very annoying and is a childish rip off of cloud. Still Tidus doesn't do any notable damage to 10.

No, but it would've been nice to have a main character with some balls. Thank goodness for Auron balancing things out, that guy was epic.

i played all of them except those on ps3 formats coz i dont have 1. ff7 is the best imo. 8 was better breakthrough in graphics but the story wasnt really establish like it should be.
there were times that you were playing and had to ask yourself, "what was i playing for?"
FF7 had the depth of a great story that is why it was the 1st of the series to have a sequel in both game and movie even tho it was entitled "final fantasy" coz it was originally intended that every title was the last of its experience.

agreed they need to realize what made their games popular in the first place and go back to that just add using better technology that we have now.
It seems the newer Final Fantasy games are a whole new series (not a good one too)
I personally hated the final fantasy 13 gameplay and hope they go back to old school style.
