As Vegeta spent more time in the Village hidden in the leaves called Konoha, He abandons his armor, which leaves only his blue outfit(above). He himself said that a Ninja from Saiya-jin/Saiyangakure never changes his or hers childhood from the day he or she is born.
Personality
Vegeta is an aggorant, bitter person due to his loss of his village and his parents. Vegeta respects and is proud of his Saiya-jin heritage and claims that his village is the strongest in the Ninja World. At Childhood, Vegeta was bitter as well, always wanting to train or battle. As he travelled along the ninja world, he became less bitter.
Forged an Alliance with two ninjas named krillin and gohan instead of killing him. He then met a Ninja named Kakorroto or Goku and forged a rivalry relationship(not knowing he was a villager of Saiya-jingakure). Hanging out in Konoha, Vegeta quit his obsession of being bitter and became Serious but a humorous personality.

Background Information
History
Vegeta was the son of the King/Hokage of Saiya-jingakure, King Vegeta who ruled the whole village. King Vegeta promised that he will have all this land but one thing was stopping his way from being the hokage. Frieza, a powerful S-Class Criminal OverLord took control of what the ninjas do. Frieza comanded them to destroy every village and homes.
Frieza then commands Vegeta to train to another location while Frieza commands all his Ninja Thugs to destroy Saiya-jin. Vegeta, finishing all of the enemies, gets a call from the survivors of the destruction of Saiya-jin, that his family has been killed and his village was destroyed. A few Villagers escaped including his future Rival, Goku.
