Need tips on a poem

Alright so i want to write a short poem for my girlfriend but you see im not very good, so i need some tips. This is what i got so far-

Although i may not be good with words, I know i dont have to look into your eyes to see if you truly care, I dont have to hear you say i love you, because i know you do, i may not know how to write a poem but i do know we'd go crazy without each other.

Include some rhymes and if she is a poem type person use a lot of symbolism anything and I do mean anything can be used for symbolism. Make it interesting well thought. But not too long just in case. About three stanzas should do. But make it for HER and her alone and make it special and touching. Sorry lots of stuff.

OT: Personally, if I were her I wouldn't want to hear this part of the poem "I dont have to hear you say i love you, because i know you do". Even if she really does love you- don't say it like that. Say you were meant for each other, made to be together, comfortable around one another. Say she brightens your world and fills your heart with joy <3

How does her smile make you feel, what do you see when you look at her eyes etc.
Try to be original on what you write. Don't use words that almost everyone says.
